Democrat Talk Show Host blames President Bush for Riyadh Attacks
Well, we all knew it would happen... Democrats are now starting to blame President Bush and Operation Iraqi Freedom for the latest bombings against Americans (this time in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).
The first terrorist attacks against Americans since 9/11 have happened. And, no sooner were numbers of the dead and injured starting to come into the news media, that a loudmouth liberal Democrat blamed Bush for the attacks.
Talk show host Bernie Ward (KGO/San Francisco) was on the Fox News Channel this morning with brand-new talking points... The Riyadh attacks of 5/12/03 are President Bush's fault.
Asked for his thoughts on the attacks, the corpulent Ward stated "these attacks are the direct result of President Bush's actions against Iraq. When did Saddam Hussein kill any Americans? We forgot about Al Qaeda!"
A shouting match occured after his comments.
Asked by the co-guest "so are you saying that if we had not attacked Iraq, these attacks in Saudi Arabia wouldn't have happened?", Mr. Ward responded, "This is exactly what I am saying. We attacked a country that did not harm us. This is retalliation for President Bush's actions. Saddam didn't kill any Americans, Al Qaeda did."
Here on Free Republic, we were all expecting this immediate blaming of the President for the next attack after Iraqi Freedom. Our concerns were warranted. These liberal Democrats have no shame in blaming America first.
Shame on Bernie Ward and the rest of the liberals who will undoubtedly use this attack for their own political purposes.

Of all the stupid positions the libs take this is one of the dumbest. Anyone with sense would looka at all the attacks leading up to and including the WTC and ask, "why would they stop now?" But when we fight back, libs use stupid backward logic and say, "Well, we wouldn't have been attacked if we hadn't have attacked them."
You just gotta be stupid to think this way.

Any attack, any large casualty in Iraq was to be blamed on Bush for purely political reasons! Hillary and the dems are just waiting on this one. Its a talking point...

One day this fat slob is gonna get so wound up in one of his nonsensical left wing rants he's gonna pop.
Thats my fervent wish, anyway.

Bernie Ward is a big fat liberal idiot. He is on KGO in the middle of the night because if he was on normal hours no body would listen to him. He is so far to the left you can not see him. KGO has tried to fire him but the lefties in the bay area get up in arms and the radio station ends up keeping him.
To: Puppage
Very flattering picture - Bernie has added three more chins and two more sets of jowls since this was taken

Bill Clinton did everything he could to avoid attacking terrorists and it resulted in various terrorist attacks both in America and abroad against Americans. The attacks on September II, 2001 were not directed at America because we had attacked anyone; but because we were America. The attacks in Saudi Arabia were against not only Americans but others as well. These attacks, as all those that preceded them had nothing to do with our freeing Iraq from a brutal dictator who gave aid and comfort to terrorists. However, the assertion that our removing Hussein was the cause of this latest attack just shows how morally bankrupt are those who spount this vitriol. They would have left Hussein in power to torture, maim, and murder; to support terrorists; and to threaten to destabilize the Middle East. It is a sad commentary when Americans (those of the ilk of Bernie Ward) care so little for the sanctity of life, liberty and freedom that they would sacrifice all to gain an illusory political advantage.

Add Graham (D-FL) to the list as well. (Maybe we should create a thread for quotes from all RATs that are jumping on this.)
Anyway, Graham said last night's attack is a result of pulling forces out of Afganistan in preparation for the war on Iraq. Thus allowing Al Qeada to come back.

"these attacks are the direct result of President Bush's actions against Iraq."But we were told over and over by leftists that Al Queda and Osama hated Saddam and would be glad to see him go. That this was exactly what Osama wanted along with our withdraw from Saudi Arabia.
When did Saddam Hussein kill any Americans?
Personally? Or through his money, training and influence?
We forgot about Al Qaeda!"
We did? Hundreds of arrests and foiled plots; he destruction of bases and training camps; the dogged pursuit and shutting down of financial connections? We forgot?
We will never forget!

I not sure I follow his "logic." AQ was responsible for 9/11, but has no ties to Iraq. So when the US attacked Iraq, AQ attack US interests because... we weren't paying enough attention to them?
Either AQ and Iraq have ties, which would explain why they would attack for "retaliation" or they don't. You can't argue both in the same sentence.

Since 911, we haven't stood by and let people create political cover for terrorism, and we shouldn't start now.
This politician should be sick to his stomach that the death of inosent people represents a chance for him to move his career forward.
When a politicians agenda moves forward when inosent people die, it's just wrong at the core.
I understand how people in the opressed parts of the middle east shill for OBL. I think their shilling OBL is flat wrong, masivly missinformed, and caries a heavy agenda. I undertand it, but do not condone it.
When member of todays democrat party move their agenda forward in the blood pools of inosent people, I neither condone it, nor understand it's motovation. After all, are they shilling for OBL for the benifit of another country ? What country ? Why ? I thought it wasn't legal for an elected representative in the US government to take money from foreign interests.
If the forwarding of todays democrat agenda is contingent upon more americans being bombed, it's clear the democrats have hooked their wagon to the wrong cart.
