In the Islamic world, online commentators are condemning the bombings in Saudi Arabia that killed at least 29 people. Even in Web sites that strongly opposed the U.S.-led war in Iraq there is outrage, along with strong feelings about the now-dominant role of the United States in the region. Several observers say that the attackers are aiming at nothing less than taking power in Saudi Arabia.

"This was an undertaking of sheer evil," say the editors of the Arab News, an English-language Web site in Riyadh that was harshly critical of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

They only comment about it because one group of Muslims is slaughtering another group of Muslims.

Some of the Arab-page opinions were posted yesterday, but for the WashPost to pick this up . . . that's a Frozen Hell Alert.

As always, once the problem is in your backyard, it focuses the mind wonderfully.

Still, it is progress when at least some in the Arab world actually are advocating taking some responsibility for Islamafascism, rather than knee-jerk blaming the U.S. for these radical nutcases.

Is this what they said about 9/11? I kinda doubt it. But better late than never.

Better late than never---agreed. Any little crack in the Arab "all our problems are belong to U.S." mentality is progress.

"We can no longer ignore that we have a nest of vipers here..."

Another positive fruit of Bush's policies.

The only reason the Arabs are condemning this is because some Arabs were killed! If there were all foreigners and no Arabs killed they would be offering very little in the way of support!

Many Moslems were killed in the embassy bombing under the Abomination. This is new.

Exactly so. They're upset because there were much more Muslims killed in this incident than there were infidels. Sloppy, sloppy work, Al Quaida! Shame on you!

It looks like Al Qaeda can chalk up another tactical error to their list.

Error 1: Attacking Americans on their own soil.
Error 2: Attacking Americans on AQ's soil.

For a supposedly high IQ outfit, they don't seem to be able to match their tactics to their strategic goals. Now they've managed to get their own fan base pissed at them. Sorta like an Arab version of the Dixie Chicks.
