Bush isn't landing on the French aircraft carrier anytime soon, assuming it floats.The dopey French engineers designed the Charles deGaulle (carrier) with a flight deck 35 meters too SHORT, and when on its maiden voyage last year, it dropped one of its four props! The whole French country is populated by the "Inspector Clouseau" mentality.

Stratfor had a thorough pay per view article on the history of France and why France does the stuff it does. The US GI was killing French soldiers in the 40's in Africa I believe.

Crying, whining baby alert!Yep, this is another example of the "whining" aspect of our relationship. The American and French peoples have long had a love-hate relationship and I think things begin to feel awkward when we go too long without "bitchin' and moanin'" about one another.
But, the reality remains that we are each among the least of the other's problems in this world. We face some important common problems and I think that, as time goes on, the correct conclusions will be drawn by France.
What are her real choices?
