Calling a French Whore a French Whore is not a smear, it's a statement of fact.

Stop whining, firstly. It's so annoying. Who wants a whiny friend?

"alleged French complicity with the Iraqi regime." Alleged?! There is nothing "alleged" about Chirac and Hussein being in bed for the past 28 years.

Stop whining, firstly. It's so annoying. Who wants a whiny friend?Sure, but beyond that, don't you see the likelihood (inevitability?) of greater cooperation in the area foreign policy - terrorism/chaos as a common enemy?
But the "bitchin' and moanin'" will probably remain a permanent feature. And don't you suppose that modern communications just makes us all more aware of eachother's whining than we used to be?
To: Hugin
Actually, I heard that they said "There is no evidence of that" Translation - "We covered our tracks and you can't prove it."
Rummy replied - "Yes, we have concrete evidence of that"
Translation - "Hillary didn't clean up the files in Baghdad"

Awesome French lesson! Hilarious!
(France "does not consider it a policy, but considers that some people have done some damage to the relationship." )
"Some people" may refer to Chirac and Villepin?!

I disagree.
They are done. They need to deal with their pro-Muslim issues because it has spread dangerously close to our borders.
One more thing. Whatever happened to that communication that Chirac had with Saddam two weeks after 9/11 where he said "Everything was okay. USA thinks Al-Qaeda did it alone?" Would France have misled our intelligence? Why is this being snuffed?
To: Scenic Sounds
I agree with you on the close relationship needed. I just think it's quite funny to see them, as you said bitchin' and moanin'.

I wouldn't trust the French to hem my slacks.
Why would I trust them with anything else?
To: Cathryn Crawford
I have just e-mailed Chirac and the French foreign ministry telling them that I will no longer buy anything made in France and that if they wish to repair relations with the U.S., they should start with an apology for their betrayal.

Well, I certainly don't want to be misunderstood as an apologist for French foreign policy because I think that the French government clearly mishandled the Iraqi situation. But, more generally, I think we would be wise to assume that France will do what it perceives to be in its best interests to do. It would be dangerously delusional to attempt to evade that assumption.

You're so wise. :-)

among other things. ;-)
