There is absolutely NO evidence that Connor was cut out of Laci. In fact quite the opposite. Connor was in much superior condition to Laci's body even with his umbilical cord still attached. That is because he was protected in utero until the gasses built up in Laci's decomposing body and expelled him OR her abdomen decomposed to the point that he floated out!! Do you recall that there was even a portion of afterbirth hanging out of Laci's belly??? This Satanic ritualism is pure unadulterated CRAP in this case.

Scott is truly an interesting case study in behavioral science isn't he? Wonder what diagnosis(es) will come out in the end.

I'm very much inclined to agree with you on this, Geraldo and Dan Abrams notwithstanding. I don't recall even those two nuts saying that the baby was "cut out".

I think we're all being led down the garden path.

We aren't. We are much too smart for that. But the potential jury might well be.

He is, he is! I wish I were an expert and could do a mental exam on him and try to figure it out!

CO, there is no doubt that the average sociopath is capable of the same coldness that Scott appears to have. But there is something else there, something kind of inexplicable, about Scott.

I am definitely not talking about any form of insanity that would qualify for an insanity defense. I feel quite sure that legally, he would be deemed sane. I'm just talking about, there is something about Scott and his behavior that is SO hard to understand!

The garden path is right!! I don't even believe that there is NO blood evidence. Whatever they took from Peterson's house went to the Serology Lab!! That's either, blood, semen, hair follicle or saliva or a combination of same. Geragos is throwing ALL this stuff out there to muddy the waters. It reminds me of a re-run that bad movie called the OJ Simpson trial and I'm not watching!!

What's with that Goth look? How old is Ava? Around here even the teens aren't doing that look any more. Is it a California thing?

For some it's just a fashion statement, for others it's a way of life.

>>I don't even believe that there is NO blood evidence.<<

I don't know what to believe. Has anyone else seen this week's NE? The one with the photo's of Laci's house--the NE says that Snott beat Laci to death in the kitchen. But that kitchen looks so small and it's painted yellow and I just can't believe he could have beat her to death there and managed to clean up all of the blood. Something is off about this "no blood evidence" talk.

Okay, here's something I thought of.

Let's assume that story about Dennis Rocha being at the house shortly after Laci disappeared--let's assume that story is true.

Scott said he was going outside for a moment, then fled. He couldn't face Dennis. (Wimp!)

IMO, a real sociopath would have been able to charm and snow his way through that meeting with Dennis. Dennis might even have come away thinking, "gee, I never liked the guy, but he's almost as broken up about this as I am!"

A real sociopath is going to get along, and can convince ALMOST anyone that they are this caring, kindly, concerned person. With Scott, it doesn't even look like he's TRYING to do that. A real sociopath would definitely give it a try, and would probably convince most people of his "concern".

Do you think it could be his TOTAL detachment from this grotesque crime on the woman he was supposed to love and protect for life and HIS unborn son? Most "normal" young men would be out of their minds in grief.

Thanks! It's just that he isn't "nice"-appearing enough!

From what I've read and seen of sociopaths, it is THEY who are always thought of as THE most human, humane, caring, kindly, deeply-loving person in the bunch! It is a cruel irony that these con artists often come off as being more moral and deep and real, than do REAL people--people who actually have consciences!

And we all know the ultimate case in point on this. Do I have to invoke The Rapist's name yet again? To this day, he's got people that will do anything for him.

This distresses me so much about Bugliosi. How can such an obviously smart and seemingly moral man hold the views people are ascribing to him here?

I had a different impression of him, too, before that election. The man was insane on the talk show circuit. Yelling and gesticulating to make his points.

Here is a review of his book. The reviewer tears Bugliosi's points to shreds.

Yes, that's part of it. Yes--they'd be out of their minds with grief. I think it would seriously impact their lives (duh) even if they had previously lost all their love for their wife.

Heck, an old man who was a friend of a friend, a person I didn't even know, but who I frequently saw walking--that old man was murdered the other day here, and I feel kind of depressed about it. If I can be kind of depressed about that, being so far removed from it, you'd THINK Scott would at LEAST have stopped smiling for a few days after Laci was gone!!!!

I'm gonna show my video of the lunar eclipse!

Just ignore that window in the corner of the screen. When I situated the videocam to record the eclipse, I got a little of my neighbor's window in the frame, too. Pay no attention to what he's doing.

Thanks, Mag! I'm so disappointed in the lack of positive news for the prosecution as reported by Fox of late. Geraldo is going to "do it again". Maybe they have first refusal rights on the "trial", to be slanting their news in favor of the defense like this. I heard Geraldo say a couple of times last night that the prosecution had had several (3 mos.) to say what they had, and they hadn't said anything. Nudging prosecution into saying something?
