He gets NO credit in my books. He only said that when he was doing his round of interviews to attempt to rehabilitate his "image"!! HA - He made it much worse.

Sorry. You said that about the guy dying, it reminded me. I won't go into the details. It was a bad situation. I felt ethically compromised.

Thanks, Mag! I'm so disappointed in the lack of positive news for the prosecution as reported by Fox of late. Geraldo is going to "do it again". Maybe they have first refusal rights on the "trial", to be slanting their news in favor of the defense like this. I heard Geraldo say a couple of times last night that the prosecution had had several (3 mos.) to say what they had, and they hadn't said anything. Nudging prosecution into saying something?

OMG - I completely go to pieces over animals. I'm a wreck everytime I lose a cat. All my cats are rescue's including the one I brought home from Mexico. We lost Amigo from Kidney failure on November 15th, 2003 and I was a basket case. I know of what you speak.

Posted this on another thread, but see everybody's here: Not big news, but in Irv Kupcinet's 5-15 column in the Chicago Sun Times says Scott getting inundated with marriage proposals. Can you imagine what kind of freakazoids these women must be?

I thought you were going to give us blow-ups of poor Laci's body, but the neighbor sounds interesting.

This distresses me so much about Bugliosi. How can such an obviously smart and seemingly moral man hold the views people are ascribing to him here? If this is all true, then I lose respect for him as well. And I had a lot of respect for him after he got murder convictions for Manson on those charges, given that Manson hadn't even been at the scene of the crime! Now that's a lawyer. But, if this is where he is now, I can't support him.

Most successful defense attorneys (and defense is where the money is) have almost always started out as prosecutors. Bugliosi was young when he took the Manson case.

As for the Florida recount, it's pretty clear that Bugliosi is a Democrat so we know how he got to his opinion on that.

BTW, they made a movie out of one of Bugliosi's defense cases that he won and wrote a book about ... "And the Sea Will Tell" (or something like that). About a male / female hippie-type couple who befriended a wealthy couple on a nice, well appointed boat. I can't remember the whole story but eventually the hippie couple ends up with the nice boat sailing around. Years later the body of the woman who owned the nice boat surfaces on the island where she and her husband were last seen.

Bugliosi represented the flakey hippie girl against a murder charge and won. It is worth checking the book out at the library.
