After Bubba lost his prestigious office that he really wanted, he then went to Harlem and acted as if Harlem was the only place he wanted to be all along. He then proceeded to make up a story on the spot about how much he used to visit Harlem when he came home from England. It was his version of "well, some of my best friends are black people." This, is just his way of saying "I am one of you, I have always been one of you, and I will always be one of you. Remember, I will always put you first and so will my party." He is a flimflam artist of the highest magnitude.
