A BACTERIAL disease spread through sodomy between rams was increasing their risk of infertility, NSW Agriculture said yesterday.
Senior field veterinary officer at Wagga Mr Rob Walker said the disease, ovine brucellosis, was becoming more common among NSW rams.
Recent blood testing of commercial sheep flocks in southern NSW had found between 40 and 50 per cent of rams carried the infection.
The percentage of rams in each flock that were infected had increased from six to 12 per cent during the past 15 to 20 years.

Nothing to do with the NFL. However, had the title included "Niners", then things might be different.

I realize that animals can and do have homosexual sex, but I think that one must be human to commit the sin of sodomy.

If they are homosexual, why worry about the infertility? If they were hetero, then it would be a problem.

Interesting, so could this be a natural means of removing defective behaviors from the herd. If the ram can exhibit behavior to propagate genes then it is automatically removed from the genepool.

I've been around the livestock industry for over 40 years and have NEVER seen a "gay, queer, fag" or homosexual animal yet. I one time asked other ranchers how many gay animals they have seen or raised in their herds. The answer was "NONE".

I had a cat who, despite being neutered at 6 months of age, would molest stuffed animals and other (male) (neutered) cats. It was pretty horrible to see.
He was a normal happy fun cat in all other ways. I have no idea why he did what he did.
