"and that unions give workers a deserved place at the bargaining table."

"Union membership declined by 219,000 last year to 16,258,000 workers. The percentage of American workers who are currently union members is at its lowest level since the end of World War II. Only 13.5 percent of all Americans are union members, down from 13.9 percent in 1999, and from a high of almost 36 percent in the early 1950s. The percentage of Americans who are union card holders has been dropping steadily for 50 years."

Yeah, and you can see how much the union workers appreciate all that help.

And the libs cannot understand our contempt for the "academic community". Every state has its horror story about the leftist college administrative/instructional staff in their area.

Best time of my life. I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. (plus - I met my wife of 40 years during that time)

Can't be. Ralphie wanted a (gulp, gasp!!) GUN for Christmas.

But if it IS true, too bad he DIDN'T put his eye out or the Bumpas' dogs didn't eat him.

That's what we were taught, but in practice it's not true. The (presumed) "inability" to make a distinction between right and wrong has let many people escape punishment.

This is Obviously part of the Liberal Lecture, Talk and Commencement Circuit.

But, I think our kids are smarter than the professors these days. They booed Donahue.

What has happened to North Carolina?

As someone born and living in N.C. for more than 50 years, I have seen many changes, not all for the better. With the advent of high-technology areas such as the Research Triangle, there has been an influx of people from all over the country and the world. Plus, our centers of higher education are among the best and attract people from around the country and the world. Add to that the changes in society in general, and the result is that our state is composed of many diverse ideologies. Many of us in North Carolina retain our conservative beliefs, but as everywhere there are liberals with their own agenda. Given the liberal bias of the press, for the most part, you do not always get a true picture of current events, only those that advance the agenda of those in the media.

A dark day in Raleigh made darker by the inestimably bizarre Marxist Donohue. The NCSU grads who stayed home were the lucky ones to have avoided this drivel.

High praise to the Grads with the guts to walk out. I hope some are FReepers. All should be made HONORABLE FREEPERS!

Liberal college administrations invite liberal speakers, it it the schools that need a change.

That was not the time or place for that kind of talk! It was not HIS graduation day! He should have told the kids how to be successful in the business world and NOT insult half of the kids!
