I grew up listening to B.G. when I was in High School in the 70s. His biggest problem is that he couldn't adapt to the PC world we've become. He would use words like "savages" and "brood sows" and I could see how it could easilly be taken out of context. I remember the first time Lousenberg was running for the senate in NJ, he had a big ad in the paper with Bob Grant's picture, and the ad said that his opponent (Chuck Hytaian(sp?)) was supported by racist Bob Grant. This was around the time of Christie Whitman's first run. Whitman immediately started distancing herself from the Bob Grant Show, and refused to appear on it. After that the whole scandel about Whitman's campaign trying to suppress the black vote came out, and ever since she's been nothing but a RINO.
A lot of politicians like Whitman, Pataki and Rudy Gualianni first got name recognition on the Bob Grant show, although today they'd never admit it.

Ummm...was I talking to you? I believe my response was to El Conservador. Once again, a FReeper reveals how truly obnoxious people can be when they have too much time on their hands. Ummm...were you posting in a open forum? Once again a FReeper reveals how to make an uninformed post (your nonsense about Bob Grant), and then not be able to back it up.

I think more people should say how they feel, rather than BS others with what they THINK they want to hear. Worth repeating.
Like him or not, Grant is an antidote to the PC cancer enveloping the nation.

I was probably living in either Houston or Cleveland when these comments were made but whatdid he say about Carville? Great commentary from Bob Grant years ago on what a lovely and talented woman that Mary Matalin is... smart, resourceful, attractive, shrewd. Unfortunately, asserted Bob Grant, Ms. Matalin evidently has very poor eyesight, because she is married to the most odious, disgusting, deceitful, ugly creep that ever was spawned on this planet. Lots more commentary from there.... it was hysterical.

After all these distortions you are hereby declared "persona non grada" Hahahahaha! That's classic.
Okay, do you recall a caller who who went by the handle "The man from Martinique"? Back from when Bob did the morning show on WMCA in New York.

I, too, go way back to the Bob Grant and Barry Farber days. They were all we had and I loved them dearly --still do.
Grant's photographic memory is amazing. You can't beat him on dates or events!
My only problem with him is when he is backed into a corner, he will attack the callers foreign accent or the timbre of their voice. (Get some new dentures, bub!") I've never minded his telling it like it is -- the brood-sows, his "Bob Grant's 19?? Sterilization Act", or challenging someone's patriotism, but leave the personal stuff out.
One of the biggest thing I like about Rush is his eternal optimism. Grant is a pessimist, and there are times that it gets to me.
But I'm glad he is out there, and I wish him many more years.

This is a phonetic spelling, but does anyone who listened to Bob Grant during the Mario Cuomo years remember this quote that he made daily about Cuomo:
"Azzenda may tuziprovinos spacheme! And he is!"

Who can forget Light, Tom from Brick, John from Staten Island, George the Atheist, that guy who would sign off with "Rock Steady, Bob", or Frank from Queens?
"Vintage Frank from Queens, ladies and gentlemen - vintage Frank..."

Patrick J. Knowlton and his attorney John Clarke on the Bob Grant Show on Vince Forster case Grant: [ ...] we will try to reestablish contact [...] with Patrick Knowlton who arrived at Fort Marcy Park about an hour after [sic] Vince Foster's body was found. Mr. Knowlton who lives just eight blocks from the White House alleges there was a conspiracy to obstruct justice with regard to the investigation of Foster's death and, Mr. Knowlton, we have you back on the line. You were driving home from your job at a construction site in Maryland when you got caught in traffic and had to stop at the park to urinate.

Azzenda may tuziprovinos spacheme! And he is!"Occasionally I'll hear Hannity refer to that line, that's how I know Sean grew up listening to Bob Grant.

Grant is nothing but ego. He modeled himself after Alan Burke and Joe Pine but he gives them no credit. Hannity certainly never modeled himself after Grant and Limbaugh simply came along and blew Grant out of the water without so much as trying. Michael Savage is the closest thing on radio to a Grant knock-off.
