Anyone Just Hear a TERRIBLE Presentation by Homeland Defense's Hutchinson IGNORING Illegal Aliens?
www.cspan.org ^ | 19 May 2003 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 05/19/2003 10:27:42 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Anyone else just hear a replay of a talk earlier today (19 May) by former Congressman Asa Hutchison, Homeland Defense Undersecretary for Border Control, going into detail about their new USA Visa program and how it will secure our borders at US points of entry?

[This aired on CSPAN Radio.]

I couldn't believe that talk. IS THIS REALLY BUSH ADMINISTRATION POLICY?!?!

Barf.

No wonder we are being invaded on the installment plan and the many law abiding guests and immigrants are being slapped in the face and insulted. It guess, listening to that talk, it will continue to happen regardless if the GOP or the Dems control the agencies.

I might add that Asa said the individuals leaving Mexico found dead in the truck were 'seeking freedom'.

Was the 'Star Spangled Banner' building in the background?

Everybody's seeking freedom, i.e. a better std of living. As hard as it seems for some to grasp, we Americans do NOT owe it to them, and definitely not at the expense of 95% of us.

I didn't hear this for myself and I thought Hutchinson's views on illegals was different from this. I'm sad to hear this.

You know the thing that mystifies me is that Bush had to deal with the problem of illegals as Governor of Texas, so how can he be so indifferent to this problem or worse, so Pro-illegals?? I just don't understand.

It's one thing to worry about terrorists being among those crossing the border or coming through airports, and another to worry about the entire problem of illegals - Mexican or Arab, wherever they come into this Country. Yikes.

CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN AND NORTHERN BORDERS NOW!!

My blood boils dangerously high at seeing this crap every darn day.

I cringe when I imagine the magnitude of the tragic situation on US soil we are in for before TPTB finally gets their act togetner.

It seems to me that every politician (with very few exceptions) is avoiding the illegals issue and I don't think it will ever be addressed by a sitting president because they want the Latino vote.

Furthermore, how can we go after terrorisim in other countries when we continue to allow anyone into our own country?

To be so tolertant of illegal aliens when there is a recession is an outrage. These WashDC poobahs are way too insulated from the consequences of their actions.

This is another reason why the Stock Market will continue on its multi-year slide. Why would an investor risk their hard-earned money when the very future of America as a "sovereign independent nation", in control of its own density, is in question?

If Bush goes down to defeat in 2004 it will be as a result of his reckless Open Borders/Free Trade polices that are decimating the prosperity of this country and clouding America's future as a sovereign nation.

He is a GLOBALIST. He does things only for political gains he cares not a whit about the Constitution or the people. He will throw bones their way but will do nothing to actually handle the situation. Why do you think the borders are still open? This is so he can justify the Gestapo like TSA. Also he doesn't want to "offend" his buddy Vicente Foxx. Notice how fast the UN is still okay after not supporting the US because it is all about Globalist control.

they want to raise the number of Mexican Americans voting republican in the next election.

But by allowing in more Mexicans, they may be raising the number of Mexican Americans voting Dem even more. Open borders is bad policy and very possibly (for the GOP) bad politics.

Thanks for articulating the key 'talking points'...

We do really need to know the truth as you put it:

"IS THIS REALLY BUSH ADMINISTRATION POLICY?!?!

"We have Republicans in power positions that are just as radical as the Democrats in giving our sovereignty and country away."

I agree! And Asa Hutchinson was one and is a dangerous reprobate. I would also include Orin Hatch and our former senator Slade Gorton with that group.

"Hopefully, the economy will get so severe that the public will insist on protecting America from excessive immigration and job loss."

I think you may get your wish, at least up here in my neck of the woods.

I live in Arizona and saw this story on local tv, complete with a demonstration of the drone. Feel better?

Homeland Security Officials Consider Drone Patrols Over Border

Excerpt:

Unmanned drone aircraft have worked well in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now the Homeland Security Department is thinking about using them along the U.S.-Mexican border.

The drones could be used to track drug smugglers, illegal immigrants and terrorists. Arizona's congressional delegation is in favor of them, along with Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge.

Hope you see #33, as well.

I hope you know the Arizona congressional delegation is Republican and a dem delegation would not support this plan.

"But by allowing in more Mexicans, they may be raising the number of Mexican Americans voting Dem even more. Open borders is bad policy and very possibly (for the GOP) bad politics."

On the surface your premise seems to make sense...

Apparently though, the GOP is betting on a different model that somehow creates a voter trend in their favor -- regardless of any negative ramifications the sanctioned flooding of legal/illegal Third World immigration produces.

IOW -- American sovereignty is being sold out for what else? POWER.

Are you familiar with the plan to use drones? See #33.

You can be sure that is not the only tool being discussed to deal with a problem the administration fully recognizes.

I'm guessing Tyson

Tyson, Walmart, ConAgra, Anthony Forest(Beryl Anthony aka Vince Foster's brother-in-law) bipartisan crook and former Congressman, just to name a few...along with local government jobs, such as road side clean-up, mowing, park improvements, and local manufacturing jobs.

Asa's last job was head of the DEA. He's used to ignoring reality.
