Once there is a World Government, I'll become a Rebel. I know how to fight and I know how to hide.

Declaring war is part of being a Rebel. I'm not a sneaky terrorist.

This is exactly what Dems call for in every speech. Clinton and Kerry, most recently.

The grand view of the Wilsonian World Federation. The Marxist brand of socialism, by now largely discredited, was the driving force for forty years behind the actions of the United Nations. The US foolishly persisted in believing in the rhetoric, that the UN was the "Parliament of Man", that is, those US citizens who believed in the basic goodness of the human heart everywhere. But alas, shining principles, no matter how presented, are useless if never applied. Most of the governments that represent the member nations have no concept of extending popular representation to their own people, because that would almost certainly doom them to loss of control, either through anarchy, or by overthrow. The eventual outcome is that the directives issued by the UN only apply to the US and a few other nations, while the rest cynically ignore them, knowing that there is not a whole lot that the UN could do to enforce the directives, without the active participation of the US.

And B J, I mean W J Clinton, wants to be king of the world, this is the Clinton's dream.
To: verity
It is relly a moot point and it won't happen in my lifetime. But I would reset such an absurd plan to the death.

There isnt a big enough army in the world that could stifle the American freedom fighter. They really shouldnt expect the the American people to just go along even if our govt does. Its been a long time, but the desire to be free is a fight we are willing to die for.

Just to remind everyone of where we stand.
Eliminating the veto and permanent member status in the Security Council;
Not yet implemented but being pushed by several nations.
Authorizing global taxation on currency exchange and use of the "global commons;"
This has not yet gone through but has been openly advocated by Kofui and several Dems in the USA. WJC had talked about this as a reasonable alternative to provide funds for the UN.
Creating an International Criminal Court; Done.
Creating a standing army under the command of the secretary-general;
Proposed but not yet implemented Several nations have already given promises of troops for such an Army including but not limited to Canada, Ireland, Lybia, India, and China.
Creating a new Economic Security Council;
Not yet formally implemented but the G8 meetings may [erform this function sufficiently.
Creating a new People's Assembly;
They have the list of NGO's to make up this assembly and have used these NGO's to staff numerous conferences etc. but this is not yet formally implemented.
Regulating multinational corporations;Many proposals but done by separate treaty.
Regulating the global commons;
The seabed treaties are the attempt to do this.
Controlling the manufacture, sale and distribution of all firearms.They are clearly working on this and have succeeded in the majority of nations.
