You're not the only one who notices this slovenly devotion to the chicks by CMT. Prior to the war, and prior to any of her open-mouth controversy, I found myself turning off CMT. I had noticed one night on one of their top 10 video shows (the one in front of a live audience) where the chicks were always number 1 it seemed like for songs that were almost a year old. It was totally an insult and a bore. And this past weekend was no different. CMT has flopped into the ashbin of irrelevant cable channel history at my house.

It is amazing to me that once so many people climb to the top, they seem to think it is their just due as some sort of "elite" person.

How few of them (at least the ones in the news) seem to remember that they are merely purveyors of a product, and THEY are the product.

They all seem to get upset that people stop treating them special, once they open their mouths, say something idiotic, and alienate the public that put them where they were. And they don't seem to get it at all.

Natalie Maines must be believing her own press, that there is only short lived fallout from what she said.
