[history]
On the other side of the heated debate over the politician's remarks, more than one-quarter of Pennsylvania voters said they were less likely to vote for Santorum after his inflammatory comments.
In an interview with the Associated Press last month Santorum said, "If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery."

Then why do pro-homosexual activists say Conservatives are always in the minority on this issue?

Santorum was unwise politically but I agree with him. I suppose that most conservative politicians start out really wanting to help the cause of conservatism. Unfortunately when you slip up like Santorum people no longer see you as really wanting to help conservatism or else you would do what you could to stay in power (and that means watching your tongue). It's kind of simple, really, when you think about it.

I was watching a movie on Bravo, the other night. During the commercial break, they were advertising "The Matthew Shepherd Story." I could not help but think: "where is the movie about the little boy, raped and killed by the homosexual couple?".
To: Clint N. Suhks
He certainly should not resign. I am sick of liberals chasing conservatives out of office with their attack campaigns!
Clinton was not asked to resign after committing freaking crimes and having a very young girl for dessert in the Oval Office, but let a Pubbie say something they dislike, and they demand his head! No way!

Why should he stay quiet while homosexual activists try to destroy the traditional American family?

Then why do pro-homosexual activists say Conservatives are always in the minority on this issue? I'll answer your question with a question. Since when does the truth matter to them?

By mouthing off, he's not going to help anything. But if he remains a politician, he can quietly help the situation- what a good politician ought to do.

So much of this problem, though, has to do with good people remaining silent...

What everyone seems to have ignored in this brewhaha is that what he said was this is not an issue for the courts to leglislate, but the right & duty of the legislatures of the individual states. Once you legislate the issue in the Supreme Court on a subject like this, you do open a Pandora's Box logically for the other issues. There is no expressed right to privacy in the Constitution.

Santorum was unwise politicallyWhy? Because he refused to be mewling and mealy-mouthed about the gay activist aganda? So he offended the pre-perversion and politically correct crowd. Tough.
To: Paul Atreides
I think his name was Jesse Dirkhising. And it is interesting how that story got buried when it was from the Presidents own State at that time. There was know biting the lower lip and claiming compassion for "the children" when this rape and murder happnened.

This story has no legs and it never has, though the press and pro-gay activists have attempted to spin it so that it would. Santorum was not linking homosexual relations to bigamy, adultery, et. al. except in an abstract sense. Yet, the spin is that Santorum was implying the moral perversity of same sex relations between consenting adults is no different than bigamy etc. He didn't do that. The legal consequences of this decision, is that if states can't regulate behaviour between consenting adults in the privacy of their homes, it also can't do so with respect to those other behaviours.

This proves once again - the dems are asleep on what the American people are thinking.

it seems the media's left spin monopoly's ability to get traction on a made up controversy is going no where. The old media is still biased but they obviously don't realize they are NOT the only source of information.
(the reporter was related to kerry's campaign manager, the word "gay" was added by the reporter.) All this neutralizes lies.
