I started reading this and couldn't imagine which University would have tolerated it. Now I know.

Thanks for the Great Post. It is especially interesting to see that he is a self proclaimed LIBERTARIAN.
The key is that he speaks about what REAL LIBERTARIANISM is, namely Individuals making choices and living with the consequences of their personal series of Life choices.
I am clearly a member of the Libertarian Party as he describes it. i.e. Make your Choices and Live with the results!
Unfortunately, this is not the Libertarian Party that typically shows up for elections.
Flame on! ([: ^ )

Neal Bortz is dreaming! You leave diversity BS in college, and face the same crap at the work-place! The culture has gone a constant attack from the liberal social engineers. At this point, it would take generations of conscious reversal of that nonsense before we can start to think of real fairness again! Why do you think there was 5 times as many reporters at the Annika golf game? Why Tiger wood make more in sponsorship than all the other pro-golfers combined?
To: Elkiejg
Oh, and put off buying a television set as long as you can. Very good advice. Unplug yourself. I haven't owned a television in a long time.
To: RamingtonStall
He's talking about the failings of the LP on his morning radio show right now.
Boortz and L. Neil Smith are the types of libertarians I look up to.

The faculty would literally have a collective brown lumpy underwear moment then commence to screaming about the facist,racist,homophobic,mysoginistic,species-supremicist,war-mongering,vicious S.O.B.& b*stard was ruining the graduation ceremony of the young indoctrinated numbskulls.

Why Tiger wood make more in sponsorship than all the other pro-golfers combined?Because he's the best that's ever been?
Because Nike took a chance on him?
Because he attracts a following from traditional non-golfers?

I have two of Boortz' books. "The Commencement Speech You Need to Hear" and "The Terrible Truth About Liberals". Both should be mandatory for graduates. If anyone is interested, drop me a Freepmail. I'll let them both go for $12.00 including shipping. :)
To: philosofy123
Why Tiger wood make more in sponsorship than all the other pro-golfers combined? Probably because he's the most dominant golfer in history, bar none.
I don't dispute the fact that there's a PC culture out there, but you may want to use a more adequate example of it.
To: Elkiejg
Neal Boortz will receive no honorary degrees in his lifetime ... rest assured. ;)

Some of what he writes seems to come right out of the pages of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, of which I am currently reading.

No I am sorry if you cannot see the injustice in the tiger case. This guy would be playing in tournament where he is not even in the lead, and the reporters would be ignoring the lead golfer in that tournament, and reporting on Tiger who sometimes don't even make the cut!
David Duval had more wins than Tiger a few years ago, and had never had anywhere near that hoopla.
Having said that, I still think that Tiger is the best player, but he gets a disproportionate praise because of his color. Pete Sampras dominated Tennis more than Tiger did or ever will do, and got no endorsements money similar to tiger. Thank you very much!

This guy would be playing in tournament where he is not even in the lead, and the reporters would be ignoring the lead golfer in that tournament, and reporting on Tiger who sometimes don't even make the cut! My grandmother, who doesn't know the first thing about golf, watches just to see Tiger. The same is true of millions of Americans who tune in every week he plays.
The reporting is delivering to the viewers what the majority want to see. Tiger is worth every penny of his endorsements and then some; look no further than the money list to see the financial impact he's made from top to bottom.
Like I said, as a white male I see the harm PC nonsense can have. But using Tiger's case as an example is simply wrong.
To: NittanyLion
So, please explain why Pete Sampress is not a houshold name, and your grandmother does not watch tennis to see him play!

So, please explain why Pete Sampress is not a houshold name, and your grandmother does not watch tennis to see him play! That's like asking why my grandmother doesn't watch badminton. There's a market for televised golf; there's a lesser market for televised tennis. This was true even before Tiger's time, and will probably continue after he's gone.

I haven't owned a television in a long time. How unfortunate and short-sighted. Last night, you missed a very interesting new show on the history of the Russian Tsars on the History Channel.
Amidst the dreck, there is a lot of great television out there.
What do you use to view your DVDs, by the way? Don't tell me you sit in front of your computer monitor.
