San Francisco Mountain (12,633 feet), near Flagstaff, Arizona. The individual peaks are erosional remnants of a compound stratovolcano with lava domes. Approximately 121 km of rhyolite, dacite, and andesite were erupted since the birth of the volcano in late Pliocene times. ~Photograph by R. Forrest Hopson. This is where I spent my Memorial Day Weekend, enjoying the company of family and remembering those who gave the last full measure in conflicts gone by...

Wow! What a sight! Never been to one, but "tractor pull"'s just below "log rolling" on my "do before I die" list...near the top, of course.
According to a study at Florida State University, people spend more money on refreshments at tractor pulls than they do at football games.
Fried gator and swamp cabbage can cost an arm and a leg. (^:
Pres. Bush welcoming the World Champion Anaheim Angels at the White House today was in his element, and having fun:
"I also want to say hello to my friend Mickey Hatcher...he's a breath of fresh air...occassionally bad breath." "Ari's a Yankees fan. I appreciate the message you sent him." (Laughs)"Players have to be willing to put aside their selfish interests...work for something greater than themselves." "When you're a champ, you have a responsibility to the communities in which you live. There are a lot of kids that look at the example you set."

It's home. It's a friendship I've never had with any other country," Houston, dressed in a long red robe with white embroidery, told Sharon.
Houston was in Israel with her husband, rhythm and blues singer Bobby Brown, to visit "friends and family" among the Black Hebrews, an African-American community that moved to Israel in 1969 and settled in the southern town of Dimona.
What did she say...It's home? Huh??
