Prayers Please for Joel Kernodle, Veteran, Friend of FR

I've been asked to start a prayer thread for Joel Kernodle. He was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Memorial Day weekend as he returned from visiting fellow veterans in West Virginia.

Joel, known as PointManHerc, was the inspiration for the Patriots Rally for America III held in 9 degree weather on the morning of January 18 this year in Washington, D.C. He and his group of veterans, MOVEOUT, came to our nation's capital to stand up against the communist-led anti-war demonstration that day. They were doing for those serving now what wasn't done for them when they served in Vietnam.

Here is a message I received tonight about Joel's condition: His wife and a couple of bro's made it to him and apparently he was conscious for awhile and gave Marla's hand a squeeze. Docs say tonight is going to be an extremely rough and decisive one. Trying to get as many folks praying for him as we can.

Praying for your full recovery Joel! Joel was the patriot at Rally III wearing full military camo and a helmet - gave a rousing speech in support of our troops which, if I recall correctly, was aired on Fox (after CSPAN borked us). Can someone post that picture again?

Thank you kristinn. I'll keep you posted on this thread. I'd like to share a prayer one of our brother's wrote;

Almighty God, we give you thanks for this small group that is called CorpGrunts. It has helped us all, in one way or another, as you well know. One of our brothers, a combat veteran, is in need of your intervention and we humbly come before you to ask for that.

Joel is hurt Lord, and we ask that you make him well again. We pray for his dedicated wife and all of his family, that they find peace in you and in a speedy recovery of our brother. Be with us all Lord, Joel, his family and all of us, Joel’s brothers, so that we may understand and as we continue to pray for his healing and safe return to us. Lord, with the injuries we understand that Joel has, we are asking for a miracle. We know Lord that miracles are created by you each and every day, and we ask Lord that this be one of them.

We understand Thy will be done, and we ask that Thy will is to return Joel to us all.

In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

Lord, when we were young and full of life you seen fit to take us away from each other. Now that we're older and get together when and where we can, to enjoy each other and remember those brothers that we love dearly, don't you dare separate us now. I don't like to doubt, but Lord, your sure making it hard to believe. Have mercy on this Marine that is now in your hands. Give our brother back to us. You don't need him right now. Look around yourself Lord, you have enough of us already. Let us grow old together in peace.
