I'm still not totally convinced of his guilt. It's unfortunate that case like this get tried in the media long before they reach a courtroom. Quitre frankly, I'm beginnig to dislike Laci's family as much as I dislike Scott's - it's tragic under the circumstances, that what we are seeing is the worst coming out in everyone involved... not just one side...

"that what we are seeing is the worst coming out in everyone involved... not just one side..."

Why should this surprise anyone. Afterall, many families fight over possessions when a loved one dies. I've seen brothers and sisters take each other to court over stuff like this. It's really pathetic how a family can let material goods come between them. In this case however, one of their own is charged with murdering two of the loved ones. It would seem to me that even if Scaughty hadn't been charged with these murders, there still would have been problems between the two families, especially when it came to the Rochas getting back what they felt was Laci's. More than likely, this all would have landed in a courtroom anyway.

"I'm still not totally convinced of his guilt."

Were you also not totally convinced of David Westerfield's guilt?

I think the Modesto Police have seized everything that could be used as evidence, so I don't think The Rochas took anything that could be used to help either side. The Rochas are human, if they went ballistic over the leaked autopsy findings then I can't blame them. It is in their best interests as well for this case not to be undermined by crooked attorneys and the media.

I don't know about all the baby furniture, but the Rochas have a right to request and receive family heirlooms and jewelry. Jackie Peterson and the defense team could have been gracious about the request, but I don't think that would have occured to them : (

The Rochas have been the picture of elegance in this horribly difficult situation, at some point, under the stress everyone cracks. They have held up admirably thru all of this, I don't hold it against them for wanting Laci's personal things, the Petersons are the ones who have mouthed off all along. Their denying the Rochas their daughters belongings was obviously the last straw!

I think your the only one on here, besides me, who isn't ready to stick the needle in Scott's arm.

As for the rocha family, what gives them the right to break into someone else's house and STEAL their property?

It says they took the baby crib and a rocking chair and other funiture.
Why are they entitled to the baby crib?
Conner, what a yuppie name, was the Peterson's grandson to.
