I've been thinking about your situation and I think you've gotten very good advice here. You will not be sorry if you can do it. It might be useful to read survivor stories, like books about being POWs and such. Someone can imprison your body but can't imprison your spirit unless you let her. If you had an 8 year old instead of a 15 year old, you'd be in for a lot more suffering.

Don't give up on women, though. In three years, you can find happiness, and maybe give the same to some woman who finally got free from a monster, too. Helpmeets are out there. Don't settle for less on the second time around, but don't think you have to do without either.

They also should include agencies in charge investigating alleged child abuse cases. In Illinois DCFS is the agency in charge of investigating such cases and it has evolved into a lawless, out of control agency with Orwellian powers. It has been pushed in this direction by politcally correct fanatics
of the leftist persuasion.

No Government agency should be granted unconstitutional powers even if its mandate is to protect children.

Now this statement is interesting.

I live in North Carolina for a number of years (as well as a few other states). I was part of a volunteer program to serve rural areas.

One of my "requests" (Political word for 'jobs') was to sit in on the County Extention programs when available. These programs I sat in on were 'place holder' positions. The more people they had sitting, ensured that they could receive government grant monies.

The programs were for the welfare recipients to receive checks, food stamps, program access, et al. HOWEVER, the recipients had to sit in on these programs to teach them how to cook, shop, build a life.

So, I just associated that with the above quote, "states enrolled as many men as they could and arbitrarily increased the amount they were ordered to pay." that was mentioned.

Seems there are lots of ways to receive money whether justified or not.

I don't know of any person that goes through getting married, having children all so they can get a divorce to "live high on the hog of child support". Wake up. The court may order child support, doesn't mean the jerks pay it (male or female). and yes people do change. when I married mine, he was straight, he got kicked out wearing my panties and having sex with the neighbor guy. and like I said, try collecting the child support. child enforcement agency is a joke. Every tool they got, the creeps got 10 ways around it.(male and female) so whether the courts order it or your proposed foster parent pay, it doesn't matter, if the creep (m Or F) won't pay, your not going to get any money. period. There are no guarentees. there is only you to do right by those kids.
