I guess I should clarify my last post for everyone else - a couple of months ago, Sen. Santorum made an impassioned speech against abortion in an empty Senate house. Steve and I watched it, and wondered at first why he didn't just have it read into the Congressional Record. As he continued to speak, we realized that he cared so passionately about the issue that he wanted to speak, not just write. I hadn't realized there had been actual results from a similar speech years ago until this article.

Although this is off the subject of Rick Santorum, there was another passionate person who was forced (cheated) out of office - Bob Dornan. I often watched Bob talking late into the night about life, about morals, and most especially, about POWs/MIAs. Although we television viewers saw empty chambers, there was ONE who was listening very intently. God bless these men.
