Of course, sympathetic media outlets are treating this series of phony disclosures as if it were some truly monumental literary work, offering their own deep analysis and character assessments, based on the assumption that the conversations and encounters among the former first family members had any legitimacy whatsoever. Hillary, they conclude, ought to be forgiven for her past ignorance, indifference, and defensiveness, and only those attributes that would qualify her as chief executive should be considered when pondering her fitness for that office.

In none of the numerous 'reports' on the 'leak' of this book [which itself could have been a vehicle to provide free publicity] is there any suggestion that HRC knew about Bubba's exploits before they became publicly known.
We are supposed to buy her as being a victim when in fact she was well aware of his tendencies and just accepted them as part of the price to be paid for access to political power.
Indeed, she was angry and disappointed, but only because it was indescreet, thus threatening her own future ambitions.

As I recall, wasn't she the one that managed the "Bimbo Eruptions" during their first run at the presidency?

She's starting to look like the typical Hollywood "victim", no? Tabloid scandals will become her bread & butter.

Absolutely. She not only knew, she was actively involved in minimizing the effect that Bubba's indiscrestions could have on her political future.
What is outrageous is the completely uncritical reaction in the mainstream press to her self-portrayal.

I didn't bother to read past this gem.....
"Hillary, they conclude, ought to be forgiven for her past ignorance, indifference, and defensiveness, and only those attributes that would qualify her as chief executive should be considered when pondering her fitness for that office."

..."Hillary Clinton was never unaware of her husbands sordid lifestyle. She was not that stupid. But it is painfully obvious that she believes most Americans are."

I am going to give Senator Clinton the benefit of the doubt and trust that she really didn't know and that she actually believed that he had never lied to her (one of the statements that B. Walters said she made). Since I am now trusting that she IS telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth, I have come to the conclusion that any woman (any PERSON, for that matter)who has no more insight, discernment, intuition, or common sense that that IS NOT CAPABLE OF WIPING HER OWN BEHIND, MUCH LESS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!
