Hundreds of thousands are in the streets of the capital despite the very late time and protests along with sporadic clashes are happenening in several areas of Tehran.

Demos and clashes are rocking the south, north, east, west and especially the center of the Capital. From Nazi Abad and Majidie to Shahrak Gharb and Guisha and from Dolat and Shariati to Rey, hundreds of gatherings and thousands and thousands of protesters are showing their rejection of the regime.

At several occasion, brutal plainclothes men were captured by the demonstrators and were attached to trees.

Several patrols and plainclothes men's bikes have been destroyed as were caught filming the demonstrators. the regime's agents were saved from lynchage with the intervention of some of the protesters.

Tear Gas is used in different areas and chase and run is taking place.

The regime has placed its vital buildings, such as Governments and radio and TV under huge surveillance to avoid a popular take over.

The night will be very long.

I have following Iranian news for years and I can confidently say that this is the closest the people of Iran have been to overturning the regime.

Fox News Cable reporting that the creepy vigilantes who support the repressive mullahs broke into student dormatories last night-crashing in the glass and beating students as they slept. Some twenty four students are missing.

I pray this sweeps the country-that a full and complete revolution occurs, that the clerics and mullahs are completely over taken and that democracy takes root. The people there live with broken hearts-I suspect what is happening is catching on like wild fire.

I love the Laci Peterson story as the next person. I follow the case. But Fox needs to be ashamed of themselves. There are tens of thousands of kids risking their lives right now in the streets of Tehran. Can FOX at least show 1/10th the Laci Coverage to the revolution that is formenting in Iran?

Tehran sees fifth night of protest

Students say they will continue the demonstrations
Thousands of pro-reform demonstrators have taken to the streets of the Iranian capital Tehran for the fifth successive night.

The protests, which are now reported to have spread to other cities, have been against the conservative clerical establishment and the reformist President, Mohamed Khatami, who is accused of betraying hopes for change.

A White House statement reiterated support for democratic reform in Iran, demanding that the voice of the Iranian people be heard.


Despite the rough treatment of protesters, and warnings from Ayatollah Khamenei, our correspondent says the demonstrators' resolve to continue speaking out against the slow process of reform shows no sign of waning.

Student associations have said they will continue to demonstrate until 9 July, to commemorate the violent attack by hardline groups on students four years ago.
