June 16, 2003 -- Slay suspect Scott Peterson has won a legion of female admirers who deluge him with encouraging letters as he awaits trial for allegedly murdering his wife and unborn son, it was reported yesterday.

Peterson's California jail cell is literally littered with supportive letters from women - including one who's doing hard time for killing her husband, the Modesto Bee reports.

Criminal-justice expert Jeanette Sereno told the paper, "If you don't see him as responsible for the [slayings], he's a very sympathetic young man, someone who the whole world is against.

"People out there have a need to come to the rescue of someone beleaguered."

Prison officials have already acknowledged the possibility of a real physical threat against Peterson, who is accused of killing pregnant wife Laci just before Christmas and their unborn son, Connor.

Guards at the jail where he is being held near Modesto make sure his food tray is picked randomly from a stack in case of a poisoning attempt.

Officials also change the times of his rooftop exercise sessions to reduce the chances of a possible sniper attack.

When he is brought to and from the roof, inmates whose cells he must pass along the way also are temporarily removed so that they can't try to assault him.

Details of Peterson's jail stay came as another report said he had been caught on phone tapes, just after his pregnant wife vanished, repeatedly trying to talk a lover into handing over damning snapshots of them.

Peterson, unaware that girlfriend Amber Frey's cell phone was being tapped by cops, obsessively bombarded her with calls up to four times a day in early January - always opening their conversations with the same, gushy "I love you," sources familiar with the phone transcripts told Newsweek.

Peterson has denied killing his pregnant wife.

I think these women see a nice family man who is good looking, calm and sensitve.

Anyone can write a letter as post on the internet with total annonymity! Wonder what these women look like & are they all convicts too? I would bet most of them never had a date in their lives!!

Scott has inherited the next wave of Manson/Menendez/Clinton butt-girls.
There is a breed of desperate female that
attaches themselves to "bad boys in trouble":

Satanic cult theories were all but debunked 15 years ago.

I remember reading books on the New Age and Satanic cults in the 80's, and people were swearing that Satanic sacrifice was going on. My religious friends would comment about certain parts of our county as being known for Satan worship. A typical comment would be, "The church in that area is under such persecution because there's so many Satanists coming against it."

This is relatively mild.

Even a blood-thirsty, satanic butcher like Richard Ramirez ("The Night Stalker") got married in jail to some clueless woman who fell in love with him. Many other mass-murderers have had women chasing after them.

You hear about it all the time. Women getting beaten up by violent, abusive boyfriends and husbands but keep coming back for more "because I love him".

It baffles me completely.

The one rapist/killer who turned himself in in Humboldt Co. Ca (which is the N. Coast Redwoods) wrote in his letter that he loved hanging out in the Redwoods on the Coast. Major flag warning! I have visited this area a few times prime seclusion for raping and murdering as you breath the clean coastal air and enjoy the smell of all the "Old Giants". Paul Bunyun would be proud.

What was failed by this supposed outing of the Devil is that he never comes by way of the obvious.

Last night Discovery or some such channel had a show about the Neanderthals. I couldn't look at their pictures of Neanderthals without thinking of the Menendez brothers, especially one of them in particular. (Can't remember which is which.) The resemblance was striking.

We'll just have to give those guys a break, Blondee. They are crying out for our help! They just feel really left out, when they see Scott getting all this supposed female attention.

Those guys are forgetting that the female attention Scott is getting is from the absolute dregs of society... from his mother, on down.
