Why Hillary WON'T run for re-election in 2006.......and a few other special surprise predictions....
one man's opinion.....

Posted on 06/19/2003 9:26:23 AM PDT by ken5050

Among the millions of words of pure unadulterated garbage written lately about all things Clintonian, it's very hard to find anything close to the truth, but in assessing Hillary's political strategy, as she pursues her goal of the WH in 2008, it is hard to come to any conclusion except that she will NOT run for re-election to the Senate in 2006, and there's a good chance that she might even resign from the Senate before that. So, for political insight that makes more sense than anything Dick Morris has every written, and better predictions than any astrologer, read on....

I strongly disagree! There is nothing that Hillie can't do as a Senator that she can do out of office. I believe you err in making the logical assumption that she can't do justice to both. She doesn't care. Serve her whole term or not? She will lie and say anything the serves her purpose.

As a Senator, she can commend the evening news spotlight by just making an outrageous statement. Out of office, she drops down the priority list, much as Al Gore has.

Hillie would pledge to have twins if she thought it would do her any good and actually live up to her pledge if she thought that would also do her any good.

Major dem losses in 2004? Great! She can campaign all over the world (on the taxpayers buck) and not worry about missing anything important at work. Mother of the bride? As a Senator, Chelsea makes Time magazine's cover. As daughter of a former president, Chelsea might not get as much attention as one of the Bush twins might. Besides, when Chelsea does get married, I believe she will be between 3 and 4 months pregnant.

No, I disagree. Hillie will do only what maximizes her personal returns. Standing down doesn't do it for her political future or for any revenue streams that she and Willie may enjoy from her Senate position.

I have a problem with the "leave the Senate to heal" idea. How many people do we all know who go through a divorce, but function at work?

I think that would be perceived as a weakness, especially by feminists who believe women can "have it all".

Hildebeast cannot run and will not run for president and most likely will not run for the senate again. She has successfully insulated herself from all face-to-face critical questioning and would NOT be able to face up to questions like (1) Who killed Vince Foster? (2) Who hired Craig Livingston? (3) Exactly how did you turn ten thousand dollars into 100,000 dollars in that stock fraud? (4) Why did you steal all those items from the White House? (5) ___________(fill in the blanks). She writes her own questions and writes her own answers. David Letterman should be ashamed of himself for being pushed around by Her Royal HindAss. She might have gotten away with that senate-run fiasco against that light-weight competition, but I can't see her having to answer anything without total control of the Q&A. Impossible. We've let her and her pig of a husband be subjected to NO face-to-face criticism in over 10 years. She wouldn't be able to handle it. Much like that nonsensical book she didn't write: If she tells the truth, she goes to jail. If she divorces the Pig, they'll might be forced to testify against each other, and then they'd BOTH go to jail.

You have hit on a couple of real keys. In 1991-92, I never saw an economic downturn, but this one is very real. I'm one of those folks that was ravaged by the stock market/pension fiasco and I'm working a job paying less than half of my old one with no raise in sight and people telling me I need a master's degree.

I drink Diet Dr. Pepper and it just went up twenty cents a bottle. I'm a loyal Republican and a Bush guy to the core. But the economy is really lousy and the Crats have room to operate. We mustn't take that for granted.

Serve her whole term or not?

If she does not run for President in 2004, and then runs for reelection to the Senate in 2006, she will have fulfilled her promise to serve out the term she was elected to in 2000. There is nothing in her pledge to serve out her first term that implies she has to serve out her second term in the Senate. I also, think there will be little pressure for her to make any promise to not run for any other office during a second term.

What's wrong is that Bill Clinton is a political asset in the Democrap Party. Until someone wins the WH from the Democrap Party again, Bill Clinton will still be the big dog.

Correct. Bill is an enormous asset within the Democrat Party, and an enormous liability outside it. If I were Bill I might have uneasy thoughts about easy it would be for the widow of Bill Clinton to lay claim to most of his power within the Party, while discarding most of his baggage outside of it...

People need to remember that the unemployment statistics don't count people who are out of work. They count people who are on unemployment. This then doesn't include two classes of people:

1) People who are underemployed, such as people who got let go from well-paying manufacturing jobs and now flip burgers for not much more than minimum wage at Mickey D's, and

2) People who are unemployed but whose unemployment benefits have run out.

Plus people like me who have gotten 2 raises, two freezes, and one salary decrement in 5 years.

And, as you note, people whose savings got raped by crooked executives and stock analysts.

These people are not happy. They exult when Saddam's statues got overthrown, but that may not translate into votes.

Not above a little self-promotion are you, Ken Boy?

Here is my prediction based on logic that is just as sound. As you said, bookmark this thread as I will be famous.

1. Hillary will become a political pariah when it is discovered that a nationwide SARS epidemic was traced to her pantsuit, old crusty, and her national book tour/fundraiser.

2. Webb Hubbell will demand joint custody of Chelsea, sparking a fight between Hillary and Webb and inspiring a national debate on family values.

3. Bill, traumatized and disoriented by it all, divorces Hillary and marries Barney Frank, making him the perpetual icon of liberalism.

4. Bill and Barney move to France and Bill is soon made the permanent head of the EU.

5. In response the stock market goes to 20,000 and Dubya is elected U.S. President for life.

Now there you have it.

She would be no news if the Republicans would have done their jobs & put the two behind bars. But that's not what the "Two-Party Cartel" wanted. As long as they switch parties every 8 yrs in the cartel the sheeple ASSUME a different direction. So they get a so-called conservative who hands out money at a rate only LBJ could exceed, give schools MORE than they every ask for or what BUbba would have given, bails out the farmers at your cost, gives Africa your money which will probably increase the AIDS problem there, medicare prescrition drugs which will cost YOU Trillions because 75% want it ( what happened to the 75% that want our borders closed).... and that's supposed to be the good news of not having a Dem in the White House.

Not a bad analysis, but I do have one problem with that. People always ask, "Why does Hillary stay married to Bill?" IMO, the real answer is that if she divorces Bubba, I think she loses her secret service protection, doesn't she? With all the enemies she has made, I don't think she feels that secure to go without it.

Just my $0.02

The only flaw I see is that there's no way she and Bubba will get divorced until the statute of limitations runs out on all of their crimes, so that neither can be forced to testify against the other.

I am not a lawyer (nor do I play on on TV), but I think the protection for married couples covers any act while they are married, even after a divorce.

I mildly disagree with your prediction

Hillary publicly stated she would not run for Prez. That's because it would ruin her chance for Senate re-election in 2006. Once she's re-elected in 2006, she'll have a "change of heart", and decide to run for Prez in 2008, provided poll numbers support this.

If she loses the election in 2008, she has her Senate job to fall back on.

My guess is she tries for the White House in 2004. She's all over the news these days - the book, the speech in Germany, Cyndy Adams in the Daily News, etc. Her 15 minutes of fame can't last forever.

She has only one question to answer - who gets Arkancided? W, Bill or the Democratic who chose her as his running mate.

Here is an old one that I wrote. It is about 4 to 8 years off of your idea and in a somewhat different vein, but I think I beat you by a few years ;P.

What do you think the public opinion would be if SHE went on "60 Minutes" and told of all of the "incredible horrors" she had to endure while being married to Bill?

She would look into the camera and cry about how her life was in danger and she lived in fear while pretending to "stand by her man" because it was good for the country and after all, she had made a vow before God.

Of course the masses of desensitized sheeple would just goo and gaa over this "poor victim" that they would forget all about the socialist programs she tried to ram down our throats while Billy was in office. What is the possibility of this happening?

If Bush looks vulerable in the spring of 2004, I think she will jump in because:

If she doesn't run in 2004 and Bush loses, she will not challenge an incumbent Democrat president in 2008. That means she will have to wait about ten years from now just to run for the presidency. If the incumbent Dem screws up in '08 or '12, a Republic will likely win and she has to wait an additional 4 or 8 years. I don't think she wants to wait that long.

look for Chelsea to get engaged in 2005, with a June 2006 wedding....and Hillary throwing herself into the whirlwind of planning for it....imagine all the covers on Bride, People, et al, and of course the overarching question...how will she deal with Bill, the ex-president, ex-husband, at the wedding? I mean, when the bride's parents have their dance....can you just die?..and will Bill come stag, or bring his squeeze du-jour? It boggles the mind......

It's easy, Bill will bring his latest squeeze, and Hillary will bring Janet Reno. Each can dance with the partners they came with :)

I have to agree. The difference being 9/11. The whole public thought process has changed.

Remember the x42 impeachment numbers - 75% didn't want him removed from office ...?? Well, one year later - 75% thought HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

Add to that opinion shift, 9/11 - and the x42 regime is in the toilet (Hitlery included). She has STAGED her "best selling" book ad nauseum. But the truth is leaking out already that it's not a "best seller". Instead of taking years - the truth is coming out much faster - a few days or weeks is all it takes.

As for "this" happening again - I hate to break it to ya folks ... but "this" has already happened many, many times. For Hitlery to even pretend he's being good ... well it's just beyond the pale.

As for Bloomberg - I don't think he's as big a stooge as x42 to support Hitlery's run for office. He seems very ego driven himself, and he has a long-time girlfriend. Of couse, I could be wrong about him - and maybe the thought of him being able to get the WH himself - after her - might be enough to entice him - I'm not sure about him.

As for Hitlery divorcing x42 - I can't see it. Two reasons; (1) if she leaves her Senate office - she's open to indictment. (2) If she's open to indictment, she would no longer be able to keep x42 from being indicted. They are in this together - and they must stay together in order to PROTECT EACH OTHER legally.

Howlin - I do agree with you that her staying with x42 will cause a lot of people (women especially) to question her "smarts" at staying with him.

My prediction is - she'll be drafted in 04 - LOOOOOOOOSE so badly - she'll be discarded just like Gore. If she runs in 06 - Rudy will bury her - she'll be out of office and stuck with x42's history and philandering for company.

Her legacy (as well as x42's) is THEY DESTROYED THE DEMOCRAT PARTY BY THEIR HARD LEFT WING POLITICS. My belief is the "real" dems will be glad to be out of power for years, just to rid the party of this power hungry, evil, nasty, lying, deceitful group.

OK....that's my take....but as you flame away, ask yourself, seriously, where I'm wrong in my logic...

I'd never dream of flaming you! But I think your crystal ball is fuzzy. For me, I see the Clintons as the kind of people who inspire loyalty out of fear (FBI files, anyone?) The best judge of a person is to see the kind of people they hang around with. And the Clintons sure as heck hang around with a lot of convicted scum.

None of their "supporters" are supporters because they love the Clintons, they're supporters because they're looking for weaknesses, waiting to pounce. Because they're afraid of their dirty linen being hung out for every one to see.

As time goes on, there will be found a Democrat that "appears" to have all the charm, charisma of an old time Democrat the and the DNC will support this candidate, deliberating encouraging the wrath of the Clintons, because this candidate will be the only one to bring the Clintons down. Oh, and this candidate will not have an FBI file. This candidate will be a future person, with little public experience. He won't win, but he will finally rid us of this Clinton pestilence.

You're half right and half wrong.

You're right that the official unemployment rate does not reflect people being UNDERemployed. Although there are other stats that measure household income and disposable income, a big problem today is people with advanced degrees, or advanced skills, forced into low-skill, low-wage work.

However, you're completely wrong about unemployment benefits. Official unemployment rate is a fraction the numerator of which is all people not working who want to work, and the denominator of which is all people who want to work plus all people who are working. You become a part of the unemployment rate as soon as you want work and don't have it, even if you're not eligible for unemployment because you just left school or the service or lost a job that didn't make you eligible. You stay part of it when you lose your unemployment benefits.

The big thing that official unemployment doesn't capture is people who give up and stop looking for paid workforce becuase of bad economic conditions. Going on long term federal disability, women who decide to stay home with the kids because the low-wage work they could get leave enough (or anything) left over after daycare, going back to school for a degree you don't necessarily want or need (and are going to have trouble paying off the loans for).

You have a very good, very, very good tactical sense.

Avoiding a close race in NY, or more critically, a loss to Rudy, is essential. Rudy CAN beat her. And I have already heard about the Page Six story about Bill cavorting with some Canadian CEO who is swimming in cash. The woman is in her thirties and has been seen with Clinton at restaurants and Democratic Party fundraisers.

So she can win the nomination even without a Senate seat. Indeed, it may be to her advantage to serve one term, as you say.

Unfortunately for Thunder Thighs, in the General Election Karl Rove will unleash the Hammer....

...who will kick Hillary's ass so hard there will be bucketfulls of lard spread all over the country.

Be Seeing You,
