LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (AP) -- The world's largest museum design firm promises its work on the Clinton Presidential Library will strike a balance between entertainment and education, between the former president's feats and failures.

Award-winning designer Ralph Appelbaum said he wants to create a museum that touts Clinton as a visionary whose policies and leadership defined a generation.

there would be a section for children to play some of Chelsea Clinton's childhood games

I shudder to think what sort of games Chelsea's parents permitted her to play.

"it's rare to find the kind of engagement that he's put into this."

Not if you know BJ. After all, this is all about him. What else could be so facinating in his view.

Clinton's record of economic growth and racial reconciliation should be the library's focus.

Can anybody tell me a single thing Clinton did to lead the country towards “racial reconciliation”?

It’s pretty sad when you try to hang your “legacy” coat on a peg that isn’t there.

".....Clinton's story is still being written and expect the library..... to evolve and improve its objectivity as time passes."

Which roughly translates:...as long as Clinton is still alive, expect him to continually attempt to re-write history to favor his own viewpoint

Visitors to the Clinton Presidential Library/Shrine/Whorehouse will want to visit the impeachment wing, in which one is allowed to throw darts shaped like cigars at a big board with Ken Starr's picture on it. The special Clinton's Hobbies area will have every issue of HUSTLER ever published, and a replica of his old pickup truck with the original astroturf in the back. The trailer behind the library is for storage only. As far as you know.

From the Clinton whorehouse, er, presidential center website:

The Clinton Center will be a public service research and educational facility. President Clinton will bring his wisdom, experience and leadership to the Center as it addresses current and future issues affecting national and international policy and public service. A separate component of the Center will be the Clinton School, which, in partnership with the University of Arkansas, will offer a masters degree for individuals from around the country and the world interested in public service.

President Clinton will be dedicating his time toward advancing several international and domestic causes he championed in the White House. He will focus on economic empowerment both here and abroad; resolving conflicts rooted in racial, ethnic and religious differences; and fostering service among young people. He will also emphasize global issues such as trade expansion, the AIDS epidemic, global warming and challenges related to high tech terrorism and sophisticated weapons of mass destruction.

Whose View will Clinton Museum Represent?

A view like this one. Clinton will forever be known for the view Monica Lewinsky had of Clinton's crotch. Bill Clinton will never be able to expunge that from his "legacy". And before it's all over he will do something as equally stupid as getting fellatio from some young girl in the White House. Like Mike Tyson, Clinton is a clock ticking towards his next big screw up. He just can't help himself. All children are like that.

Exactly what was it that Clinton did that earned him such praise? All jokes aside and forgetting the Monica affair for a moment just what did he do in his 8 years in office?

Yes the economy was floating along on the since burst Internet bubble. I give him no credit nor blame for this. But other than travel around the world to the tune of around $100,000,000 in travel expenses the only major initiative I can think of is the Family Leave Act. And, as far as that goes it's just a pre-cursor to a one day Federally mandated and funded way to decrease the work days ala France and Germany's socialist schemes.

Racial reconciliation? Again I ask what did he do towards that goal other than play the Saxophone?

According to the presidential lie-brary website:

Under his leadership, the United States has enjoyed the strongest economy in a generation and the longest economic expansion in U.S. history. President Clinton's core values of building community, creating opportunity, and demanding responsibility have resulted in unprecedented progress for America, including moving the nation from record deficits to record surpluses; the creation of over 22 million jobs— more than any other administration; low levels of unemployment, poverty, and crime; and the highest homeownership rate in history.

I think we all know what his legacy really is.

October 05, 2001

(CNSNews.com) - The planned demolition of a historically important freight depot built by former slaves and located on the same grounds where former President Bill Clinton plans to build his presidential library is angering preservationists. Clinton, however, told CNSNews.com the building in question is of "no use to anybody."

The William J. Clinton Presidential Library Foundation and the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, are planning to demolish the freight depot that preservationists say was built by former African American slaves. The historic rail station, built in 1899, is on the grounds of the planned 27.7 acre Clinton library in Little Rock and is eligible for the national registry of historic buildings.

Clinton in an exclusive interview with CNSNews.com at the recent Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) dinner in Washington D.C., said, "No one can see [the depot] now, no one can use it now, it's of no use to anybody." That same night, Clinton received the CBC's Chair Award for achievements on behalf of African Americans.

Clinton is scheduled to be in Little Rock Friday, but has no plans to tour the landmark structure.

Preservationist Gregory Ferguson of the Friends of the Choctaw Terminal, said the Clinton Foundation's plan to demolish the depot, also known as the May Supply Co. building, amounts to "destroying part of [black] heritage."

"It would be an absolute travesty for Clinton to tear this down," explained Ferguson. He called one of the state's first black built structures a "monument to the craftsmanship of these workman who were born into bondage and who lifted themselves out through the skill of their hands and their talents."

The depot's original architecture was hidden for more than 50 years because it was 90 percent covered by a steel exterior, which also served to preserve it from the elements. The 102-year-old building, which served as a warehouse in recent years, initially went unrecognized for its historic value during the planning stages of the library because it was encased in the steel exterior.

According to Ferguson, the depot is a "little jewel that's been housed in a steel box." He said architects have rated the vintage structure's state of preservation at between an eight or nine on a scale of one to ten.

"It is the only remaining brick freight depot in the state of Arkansas," he explained.
The structure is a showpiece for at least two African American stone and brick craft skills according to Ferguson. "You can still see the hand chisel marks on the stones, the mortar on the bricks is still intact," he stated.

Despite saying the building was of "no use," Clinton said the city of Little Rock and the presidential library planners were still "looking at whether there is any way we can actually recover the building and maybe move it to a site where it can actually be seen and used. So they're working on that."

But the decision to demolish the building had already been made over a week before Clinton made these comments on September 29.

"I am amazed. He's got his facts wrong," explained Ferguson. Ferguson says the Clinton Foundation and the city have already decided to demolish the depot because the foundation deems it too much hassle and too expensive to change existing building plans.

Well, the failures would be listed in something the size of the NYC phone book, and I can't think of anything I would describe as a "feat".

This will be the proverbial "putting lipstick on the pig".

He's a great teacher, all right. He taught that there is no need to tell the truth when you swear an oath to tell the truth. He taught that you can get away with rape. He taught that staining the great seal in the Oval Office is a nice form of presidential recreation. He taught that allowing the sale of missile secrets can bag him 900 grand. He taught that a vow to one's wife means nothing. He taught that a government official can get away with exchanging government jobs for sex. He taught how much damage a president can do when he fails to defend the national security of a great nation. He taught that jogging can be more fun by having a crack cocaine hooker service you in the bushes. He taught 9 year olds to ask their parents to explain oral sex. He taught how a pervert and psychopath can be admired by a group of really, really stupid people. It goes on and on and on. Bill Clinton is an absolute pile of ****, a very dangerous pile of ****.
