Frist Endorses Idea of Gay Marriage Ban

I very much feel that marriage is a sacrament, and that sacrament should extend and can extend to that legal entity of a union between - what is traditionally in our Western values has been defined - as between a man and a woman.

I am not entirely comfortable with the State determining what is – and by extension, perhaps, what is not – a sacrament. That is the responsibility of the Church. There may be other reasons to prohibit same sex unions but the government should do it for secular reasons.

What country would u rather live in? Canada, Holland or Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Iran? People keep saying on these lists how homosexuality is the ruin of civilization. The arab world generally prohibits homosexuality, at least officially, and they do persecute gays. Are people flocking to these countries to live? Is their society one of the strongest in the world?

Why do people want to live in a Canada or Holland? Because of the diversity and the ability to live a free life without rigid government intervention. Think about which society you would rather live in?
