The US should have done as Israel did in 1981 and take the world's criticism (including the US) when it bombed the nuclear reactor in Iraq. The more the US waits to deal with NK by force on its nukes (which I believe is too late), it will prune itself to communist blackmail.

They can reach Hawaii or Alaska.

I think we need to explore the East European communist collapse model and see where elements of that could be applied to the DPRK, in order to bring down that regime and
seize the weapons making capabilities, and rendering it useless shortly thereafter, followed by a staged reunification of the Korean peninsula under Allied supervision, followed by inclusion of the whole territory under the "Republic of Korea" (Capital: Seoul), system: Representative Democracy.
