Well, another thing I found out while playing around on the 'net is that you can request a copy of your dad's service records from the National Archives. The instructions are fairly simple to follow, just remember after filling out the online order form, to print out the page that you must sign and return to the address on the sheet within 30 days.

My mom and dad are both now gone, and I can't remember some of the things that dad told me about his time in China. Hopefully the records will help fill in some of that foggy memory - for us both. Good luck!
