A Nation Under God

Our 243 Founding Fathers in 1776 founded this nation under God upon a tripod: 1. “The law’s of nature“ (the natural law). 2. “The laws of nature’s God” (the Bible). 3. And the “God-given”, “self-evident”, “inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” of every American citizen. This was known as “ordered liberty”.

The Twin Towers

George Washington in his farewell discourse went so far as to say, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indefensible supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism which would labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness…The mere political, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them.”

James Madison said, “A nation that will not be ruled by the Ten Commandments, shall be ruled by tyrants.” Andrew Jackson added, “The Bible is the rock upon which our Republic rests.” And Patrick Henry reminded us, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded by Christians…and upon the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Benjamin Franklin stated, “We are reminded in the sacred scriptures that unless the Lord builds a house they labor in build that build it.” And Noah Webster added, “No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a few people.”

Supreme Court Justice, William O. Douglas affirmed, “We are a religious people and our religious institutions presuppose a Supreme Being.” And more telling, the Supreme Court itself, in its most preceded decision in 1892 said, “The laws and the institutions of this nation must necessarily be based upon and embodied in the life and teachings of the Redeemer of Mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise” (87 precedents).

In 1931, Supreme Court Justice George Sutherland, reviewed the 1892 decision in another case, and reiterated that Americans are a religious people.

A New Liberalism

All this began to change in 1962 when just five of our Supreme Court justices, all liberals, did something unconstitutional: they forbade millions of public school students from prayer, Bible reading, and the learning of the Ten Commandments -- despite the fact that our Constitution says, “Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.” Like Nazi Germany in the 1930s, we saw the wholesale corruption of millions of American youth. Now pornography, promiscuity, drugs, crime, and a new paganism has invaded our schools.

In 1973, the Supreme Court no longer held the sanctity of life. Since that time counting the abortions brought about by “the pill,” over 100 million babies in the womb have been slaughtered, many thousands in the very process of being born.

In 1993, the Supreme Court took away our ordered liberty. “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of the meaning of the universe and of the mystery of human life” (Planned Parent v. Casey). This is the very antithesis of the order of liberty of our Founding Fathers and is pitted against the laws of nature. Such license throws into question the very possibility of law itself since everyone can decide for themselves whether they can murder, abort, lie, steal, sodomize, prostitute, or sexually abuse minors.

The Last Straw

All that was left to dismantle was the natural law. Now the Supreme Court has done that by legitimizing the most unnatural use of sexual faculty. As Newsweek asked on its cover of July 1st, “What’s Next? Homosexual Marriages?” (that is, the dismantling of marriage itself).

Completely Loses Its Moral Voice

In a stinging dissent, Supreme Court Justice Anton Scalia noted that the ruling “effectively decrees the end of all morals legislation” and would pave the way for “the judicial imposition of homosexual marriage that has recently occurred in Canada. Today’s opinion is the product of a court, which is the product of law profession culture that has largely signed onto the so-called homosexual agenda.” In other words, with this decision, the Supreme Court has completely abdicated its moral voice; and we might add, has completely dismantled the Constitution. At present, we are no longer a nation under God in the public forum, we no longer hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created with certain inalienable rights -- certainly not the right to life. And we are no longer founded upon the laws of nature and the law’s of nature’s God.

A Nation Adrift

We are a nation adrift. Since perhaps as high as 60 percent of all sodomists are guilty of child abuse (that is, sex with minors 18 and under), the American people should demand the impeachment of six of our Supreme Court justices -- or else apologize to Cardinal Bernard Law. With this decision, we have obviously entered the slippery course to Sodom and Gomorrah as Justice Robert Bork prophesied. Since twenty of the 21 civilizations that have come and gone have decayed from within, the only hope for America seems to be a direct intervention by Almighty God. Many traditional voices are praying.

A New Battlefield

As Lincoln said, “We have met on a great battlefield testing whether this nation or any nation so conceived and dedicated can long endure.” The question of the hour is, “Where do we go from here?” If we return to God’s principles, He has promised that He will restore our nation and heal our land. If not, we will continue to decay. This is the real question of choice -- revival or ruin, God or chaos, with Him or without Him, decency or profanity, dignity or abuse, a culture of life or a culture of death, purity of heart or wholesale promiscuity -- up or down.

Take a look back at the decline and fall of those civilizations. You'll recognize a pattern of moral decay.

Now would this Redeemer of Mankind they speak of be 3000 year old moon gods or would it be the trees or nature in general? Considering the precedents before 1892, I assume this decision speaks of none other than God Almighty. Contrary to some 'conservative' opinion, this nation was founded by just and moral men, that did not consider said worship of dead moon gods, trees, or nature to be worship. 'Conservatives' need to face some facts. The morality of the men who founded this nation no longer exists. The nation upon which they based 'And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor' no longer exists. We can either 'triangulate' this nation straight to Hell in a handbasket or we can start to elect men that will follow the Constitution instead of using its catchphrases to further socialist agendas (i.e. Republican healthcare plans)

I see the downward spiral; however, one must have hope. I hope and pray that God will intervene and as someone else said on another post, teach your children - tell them to love the sinner but hate the sin. My husband I try to instill this into our own children daily. Trust in the Lord and not the Supreme Court for as we all know, they will receive their fair share of judgment someday!

Unfortunately, while most of the people who came to this country were Christians, many of our founding fathers were landed gentry and Freemasons, as can be easily verified by doing a google search. Remember this was called the "New World", and our New World Order destiny was laid by the founders back then. There were only a handful of founding fathers who opposed the new constitution, George Mason and Patrick Henry being two. I recently read, and could not remember where, that George Washington, who was a 33rd Degree Mason, recanted 10 minutes before he died, with the breath being choked out of him. I asked a docent at Mt. Vernon in the past year if he had died of epiglottis, and was told no, it was quinsy (?) I also read recently that George was going to spill the beans on the Masons, and that his Masonic doctors bled him to death. I looked it up, but I've forgotten exactly what that was. So lo and behold, I pull up this interesting account from the GWMemorial website. They talk about him being bled, but not murdered. An interesting side-note is his request not to be buried for three days. I had heard this before. An interesting remark (!) "It was reported that about ten minutes before he expired, his breathing became easier." Hopefully, George did give his life to Christ; better late than never!

It started long before 1960.

In his December, 1908 annual Message to Congress, Theodore Roosevelt called upon the nation's courts to accommodate a new "economic and social philosophy" of the 20th century. He wanted the courts to accomodate social and political problems in the review of law. His ideas are considered the foundation for "Legal Realism," the philosophy of judicial activism. Roosevelt would go on to preach these ideas with an even more radical tone during the election of 1912, during which he called for "judicial recall," a popular-vote veto of judicial decisions, and for easier amendment of the Constitution (by simple majority vote of the people).

While some today might wish for a plebiscite to overrule stupidity on the Court, had Roosevelt's ideas won, things would be far worse than they are today. The problem is not judicial review, it is judicial activism.

Believe it or not, back in 1908, the New York Times understood where Roosevelt's ideas would go. You might recognize it, as they called it precisely:

When Judges once get away from the law and the principles of justice, and begin to dabble in twentieth century economic and social philosophy [Roosevelt’s words], they will find themselves upon an uncharted sea, where it may be each will be inclined to sail his own craft according to his own brand of the twentieth century article.
Just so. But don't fret so much. The Courts have always reflected a political consensus, although usually a generation behind. The Rhenquist court is still mired in the 1970s. The Scalia court will better reflect the post-1995 liberal nightmare.

Where will we find these candidates who will follow the Constitution? It seems to me, the only two viable political parties control, for all practical purposes, who is going to be running. (I believe it was Boss Tweed who said that he didn't care who did the voting as long as he got to do the nominating.)

Do you realize that half (that I know of) of the six Justices who upheld Affirmative Action (quotas), were appointed by Republicans. There had to be GOP appointees who were in the majority on the Texas sodomy case.

I do not know if what has been happening in this country, especially since the FDR administration, has happened because it is preordained (according to the scriptures) or because of the machinations of a very powerful and secretive group of men (conspiracy theory). But I am certain that it has not been an historical accident or part of the natural course of human and natural events.

I am not sure we can stop what is happening. But at least there is some comfort and a little hope, at this and other CONSERVATIVE websites. I am dead, solid certain we will not stop it merely by electing Republicans to high offices. Because, what the liberals fail to implement in their time in power seems to come about anyway, when they are not.

You are absolutely right! It is a watershed moment in US history As the author notes:

As Americans, we still have the ability to change the course along which our country is headed. And it requires very little - get out and vote! Vote those who have brought this shame on us, out of office!

There is a movement afoot to change the US Constitution, to eliminate the Electoral College and switch to the popular vote system. Were they to succeed, this country would completely collapse.

Whatever happened to "thou shalt not commit adultery?" Doesn't this include sodomy, carnal knowledge, fornication, and various other sex crimes? And by the way, the Fourth Amendment does not prevent the States from criminalizing conduct within our own homes, it merely prevents the Government from spying on us.

The entire argument about sexual behavior is so simple it can be reduced to the following: Should there be any social rules about what sexual activity a human being engages in?

If the answer is no then everyone should just shut up...hetero is okay, cousins are okay, polygamy is okay, bi is okay; gay is okay, 13-year olds are okay, and one or one-hundred-at-a-time are okay, et. al.

However, if a society decides that certain rules about who does whom when and where is functional and perhaps even necessary, all that is left is to decide is WHAT are the rules of sexual behavior and WHO shall make them...simple. Those who follow the 'rules' are then NORMAL and all the rest are PERVERTED or DEVIANT... so very, very simple...you decide.

Bump. Dims/socialists on one side, and proponents of socialism (vote prostitutes) on the other. Few are the men today with the vision, fortitude, honour & integrity of the founding fathers.
