The Rent-A-Witness Formerly Known As Greg Packer bump

Good sleuthing. I tried some variations with "Wilkerson" and didn't find anything either.

Can someone pick up the phone and simply call the reporter?

Doesn't come up listed in any of the security consulting firms that are in D.C. Tried both spellings for the name Terrance.

Might be easier if they had given the reporter's name.
They did not.

From the NY Times:
Terrance J. Wilkinson is a very credible source. He is a top-notch CIA advisor, said Greg Packer, 38, of Huntington.

LOL
I bet Packer is in any photo of the guy that comes out.

Is the core issue here the possibly apocryphal CIA advisor and the Capitol Blue article, or the use of faulty information by the administration to justify the liberation of Iraq?

I just did a dogpile search for Wilkinson -- zero, zip, nada! If he is an advisor to the CIA, he should be listed with some firm!

It appears that the issue of the use of some faulty information has been established. The Presidents spokesman confirmed this fact.
This issue of this thread is clearly the journalistic integrity of Capitol Hill Blue.

Those are two different issues. This thread is about the former.

The core issue of the liberation of Iraq was never that they tried to purchase Uranium. That was but one thing mentioned in the State of the Union address. As such, the uproar over that is merely a tempest in a teapot.
The core issue here is the possibly apocryphal CIA advisor and the Capitol Blue article.

MSNBC just reported the story as the President was given erraneous information! CNN I refuse to have on my TV!

As per your request, hchutch, I'll *PING* Howlin's list as she is off for a few days.
VERY interesting information here, folks! William McKinley has done an excellent job of researching this topic.
