Ann is exactly right about Democrat men being emasculated. And that is why no decent, self-respecting Southern man today would refer to himself as a "Southern Democrat." Take a look at some of the Southern Democrats today -- wimpy Al Gore and John Edwards. Doesn't that just say it all!
Needless to say, I am a major fan of Ann's. She and the late Barbara Olsen are women I admire so much because they've had the courage to very publicly take on the Liberal establishment, endure the Libs' insults and smear tactics, yet always prevail as articulate, intelligent, beautiful ladies. And Katherine Harris of Florida is another brilliant Republican lady with a great political future ahead of her.
They are such a contrast to the tough-as-nails, mannish Hillary Clinton and phony Tipper Gore.

Q. What's your take on the Supreme Court's ruling that antisodomy laws are unconstitutional?
Gay sex may well be a mystery of life, but I'll be damned if I can find it in the Constitution.
I've GOT to remember that one! What a classic!!

When Ann Coulter published Slander last year, she didn't just score a surprise No. 1 best seller
it was only a surprise to the left wing nut jobs at time magazine
To: ICX
Would she currently enjoy the status she does in the conservative ranks if she was some run-of-the-mill mouthpiece instead of a scathing pundit? i think you yourself are the answer to that question.
To: jethropalerobber
[ if you removed all of the clever name calling and ad hominem attacks from her writing you would be left with a nearly empty husk. when you embrace ms. coulter, you play right into liberals' charicature of right wingers as incapable of any discourse beyond shrill diatribe. ]
Jethro, now don't get intimitated now....

granted, i haven't read her books, only her newspaper columns.

Just a little different slant! One might take note that four of the top five non-fiction best sellers on the current Amazon.com best seller list are "conservative" books. They are in order:
1. Treason
2. Beyond Iraq
3. Off With Their Heads
4. Tales From The Left Coast
Match this against the positions of Sid Blumenthal's, Al Franken's, Eric Alterman's, Joe Conason's books and you'll come to one simple conclusion. Conservatism is alive and well in America. Hillary Clinton's book, "Living History" should have been burning up the best seller lists for months as predicted by her "spin masters". It just did not work out that way! Why? Simple, the book is just plain boring! Methinks, as the Brits say, at the end of the day, she ain't gonna be looking too good! Thanks Ann, you not only equaled and bested her, you stole the air in the room she hoped to breathe in! I ask anyone, friend or foe, have you heard anyone of note lately chatting about Hillary's book like they are chatting about Ann Coulter's book? End of story!
To: jethropalerobber
Treason is not the Black Book of Communism or the Mitrokhin Archive but it isn't fluff either. I learned a few things from it and I didn't think I would. Essentially, it is the conclusion most reach after reading more detailed work. It is an excellent quick reference. There have been some weak conservatives books published in the last decaded which were padded out and rushed to print simply to fill a demand. This isn't one of them.

Don't be such a girly-girl, Jethro.
To: ozzymandus
hey ozzie,
don't you just love that movie gag where the pretty girl kicks the guy in the balls? isn't that just hilarious?
coulter's newspaper and magazine career is basically that gag, repeated ad nauseum. if she were no longer allowed to use the term 'pantywaist' in her writing, her audience would quickly evaporate.
grow up.

I have posted numberous times, we need the electoral extinction of the democrat party.
Once the democrats are out of power we can break so many of their reflex voters to think. (at least a little)

What's really funny about that is that "Slander" contains a couple of pages detailing how often the liberal media labels every conservative work a "surprise best-seller", and how they're always "surprised" every time.

How much do you want to bet there is a computer cash register sitting in a stock room in the back of a "select bookstore" which is womyned by a dnc cronnie and this cronnie is rining up lying history accross the scanner alllll day.

You've obviously never heard Ann in a discussion about Constitutional law. She's brilliant and regularly skewers opponents with facts and dead-on ananlysis.

when you embrace ms. coulter, you play right into liberals' charicature of right wingers as incapable of any discourse beyond shrill diatribe.I respectfully disagree. Shrill diatribe is the main form of discourse by "liberals". It is refreshing when someone doesn't cower in front of it. The only reason her invective stands out is that we are not used to hearing it from the right. I don't think the entertainment value subtracts from the content at all.
