The Republicans should start screaming about who is pumping out all these fraudulent documents and demand for a hunt for the moles that would mislead the President and the nation.

I don't think they would have to dig too deep to uncover moles, the whole government after the Clintons is full of them. Bring back McCarthy and do it for real this time.

There is one other thing, there is no doubt that Saddam was seeking nuclear material, and this Africa connection with a fake document, to me is a cover for where Saddam was actually going to get his nuclear materials.

Russia sold nuclear to Iran and Syria is trying to work out the same kind of deal and it is common knowledge that Russia will sell anything to make a buck.

I hope that they won't just kill the story but expose who planted it.

I think the entire intelligence community and the Pentagon need to be purged of Clinton holdovers.

Am I wrong?

Nope. You are quite succinct. The demo's are grabbing on to anything they can.

who is the mole in the CIA?

George J. Tenet

The Director of Central Intelligence

George John Tenet was sworn in as Director of Central Intelligence on 11 July 1997 following a unanimous vote by both the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the full Senate. In this position he heads the Intelligence Community (all foreign intelligence agencies of the United States) and directs the Central Intelligence Agency. Mr. Tenet served as the Deputy Director of Central Intelligence, having been confirmed in that position in July 1995. Following the departure of John Deutch in December 1996, he served as Acting Director. Mr. Tenet previously served as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Intelligence Programs at the National Security Council. While at the NSC, he coordinated Presidential Decision Directives on ''Intelligence Priorities,'' ''Security Policy Coordination,'' ''US Counterintelligence Effectiveness,'' and ''US Policy on Remote Sensing Space Capabilities.'' He also was responsible for coordinating all interagency activities concerning covert action. Prior to serving at the National Security Council, he served on President Clinton's national security transition team. In this capacity, he coordinated the evaluation of the US Intelligence Community.

Is it just me or is the media all now claiming that we went to war over non-existent uranium from Niger? I thought this report had been debunked after the SOTU address and before the war started. It may have been a very small example of why we needed to go but it is FAR from the only reasons.

Agreed, and throughout this whole Iraq cleansing, this is not the first bit of fake documents to come out of their intelligence.

Based upon what I discern thus far with all the fake documents there are two motives, to destroy credibility and give cover for what is really going on.

Unfortunately, all I keep hearing is that the documents are fake and Bush supposedly knew it.

I want to know WHO (?) fake them WHO (?) planted them and what it is that THEY (?), are really covering up.

Bush attributed the information to British Intelligence.. not a 2000 forged document problem raised by a former Clinton appointee..( an impecible source for sure...)

The British say they have other cohaborating intelligence on the issue and it is true....but it is suspect by the leftist Media because they will not reveal the sources...(so they cannot be snowed under like the British Defense that the leftist media has managed to censor...)

One only has to consider the sources...The New York Times, recently outed in other ficticious news stories and CBS news, an obvious marxist leftist mouth piece that I stopped listening to years ago....

The President's decision to work on that information rather than to gambele with the safety and security of 293 million American citizens is the only measure of credibility here....

Otherwise lets call it what it is .. the usual election years provarications to increase the chances of an obviously Marxist ,Leftist controlled polilical party that has nothing to offer but more big government and personal privacy intrusion and an agenda to spend America into oblivian...and the continued attempt to illegally disrupt the free will of it's people for it's own political gain..

Not a record you can sell..and one that needs something else to take the bright light off it's actions...because they do not reflect it's words...

Trying to determine who is trying to buy what and who is trying to sell what in this world is a guessing game. Part of this global market-place that everybody just loves. National security has taken second place behind profits.

What I think needs to happen is a hearing in the Senate and drag those two DNC hacks, Greg Theilmann and Joseph Wilson in for a little fact checking.

Greg Theilmann claims he knows this Administration manipulated the intel and wasn't concerned with facts, just war

Joseph Wilson (who organized Clintons 1200 person trip to Africa in 2000) claims that Dick Cheney sent him to Niger to look into the Uranium claim and then he reported back to the state department and the CIA with his findings. Cheney's office said they never directed him or anyone else to do any such thing.

I think it would be nice to expose these hacks for what they are and if the DNC is behind these deceptions, bring them all up on charges.

What I see are people who are choosing and mincing their words like practiced politicians (i.e. liars). Note that she does not say, "We believe Saddam had...", no she says the sentence was true, meaning that British Intelligence had information that Saddam had tried to purchase..".

Let's look at the record.

Links to Al Quaida - false.
Buying nucleur material - false.
Huge stockpiles of illegal weapons - false.

This is either a case of deliberate deception or a huge failure in intelligence. If it's the latter, why won't Bush come forward and say so.

He's not being straight with us.

Flame away.

One might think this would be the end of George Tenet. However, the President seems to have a lot of faith in him. He kept him around after the Klintoons and even sends him on high-level diplomatic missions every so often.

Perhaps Tenet has agreed to be the designated goat in this flap.

The other night Chris Mathews explained that every point in a SOTU is signed off on by the Secretaries, and charges such as the Uranium one would have a corresponding/ directly traceable "author". The WH knows who inserted that line in the speech, and that person has got to go.

Although it seems some fingers are being pointed towards Tenet (and I'm no fan of the guy), I'm guessing DOD as the scource.

Generally I agree, however, nuclear material is not a common shelf item on the global market, at least not yet.

Under Clintons policy of EQUALIZING ALL NATIONS, nuclear material did become a more common commodity, and the Clintons, did make sure N. Korea got theirs.

Iraq though was supposedly being monitored like no other nation on earth since 1991, still Iraq did manage to maintain quite a French connection as well as Russia and Germany, all under the billions of dollars of rip-off by the UN run "OIL for FOOD".

What seems to be appearing is a UN run conspiracy to EQUALIZE ALL NATIONS, lead by the Clintons, and we the American taxpayers were paying the paycheck for their organization.

Now all intelligence presented by the administration is going to be treated as suspect.

It always was going to be treated as suspect by some people. Further, whatever mistake he made was going to amplified and publicized by the still very influential and numerous leftists in our communications industry.

It is impossible for any administration not to, at some point, make a mistake. The worst thing we conservatives do is to pile on. The best thing we can do is laugh at the leftist.

And if a conservative such as Doug Thompson admits to wrongly publishing information that is derogatory about Bush, you praise him for coming home, not harp on him so he never again wants anything to do with you.

An interesting bit of information PhiKapMom found on Wilson.

Ambassador Wilson who the RATs are counting on to nail Bush is tied to them.

From his biography: "In 1985-1986, he served in the offices of Senator Albert Gore and the House Majority Whip, Representative Thomas Foley, as an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow." 4 posted on 07/10/2003 11:08 PM EDT by PhiKapMom (Bush Cheney '04 - VICTORY IN '04 -- $4 for '04 - www.GeorgeWBush.com/donate/)
