All I know about her is that her name is Valerie Plame and for some reason evrytime she is mentioned it says the "Former Valerie Plame" what ever the hell that means, sounds like another Kerry-Hienz deal :-)

She is an Operative in the CIA and was instrumental in sending her husband Joseph Wilson (Former AL Gore employee) to Niger for this all important highly sensitive investigation on Uranium sales between Niger and Iraq.

Joe Wilson went to Niger and asked Terrance J. Wilkiinson if he knew if Niger was selling "Yellow Cake" to Niger but he said he was unaware of any such things happening :-) Joe Wilson then asked Greg Packer if he knew of any such sales and he said no as well. So Joe Wilson has come to the conclusion that George W. Bush is a liar and Joe Wilson decided it was time to write an OP-ED for the NYT's and the shiite has hit the fan.

P.S. the last paragraph can be verified by Doug Thopson of Capitol Hill Blue :-)

Your intel about Joseph Wilson's wife being a CIA operative has just been confirmed by Doug Thompson's own private source/spook, the honorable unnamed/undisclosed source of Doug's, the great spook, Terrance J. Wilkerson.

Wilson never worked for the CIA, but his wife, Valerie Plame, is an Agency operative on weapons of mass destruction. Two senior administration officials told me Wilson's wife suggested sending him to Niger to investigate the Italian report. The CIA says its counter-proliferation officials selected Wilson and asked his wife to contact him. "I will not answer any question about my wife," Wilson told me.

After eight days in the Niger capital of Niamey (where he once served), Wilson made an oral report in Langley that an Iraqi uranium purchase was "highly unlikely," though he also mentioned in passing that a 1988 Iraqi delegation tried to establish commercial contacts.

CIA officials did not regard Wilson's intelligence as definitive, being based primarily on what the Niger officials told him and probably would have claimed under any circumstances. The CIA report of Wilson's briefing remains classified.
