Joe Wilson had better watch it. He is close to sedition and making false charges.

Thank you for the report on Chris Matthews. I cannot bear to watch him anymore, so I am glad someone took the time to keep an eye on him.

Please read Yaya123's excellent report from the Chris Matthews show in #180. It indicates what I have said, that this is a coordinated effort on both sides of the Atlantic to bring down both Blair and Bush.

Rollins has become a village idiot. He was once a good guy and republican strategist but he has lost it totally.

Definitely 3rd tier...if that...which explains why Mathews would have Rollins on, up against DeeDee Myers, Howard Fineman, and himself.

poo, I missed most of Larry Sabato and Vaughn Ververs on with O'Reilly. Professsor Sabato is always EXCELLENT, and Ververs is a C-Span Washington Journal regular from, (I think), "the Hotline".

O'Reilly says he would fire Tenet, even if it isn't his fault,...it would look like the President is at least engaged.

Sabato says, Bush is just like his father, who didn't like to fire people, and if Bush isn't careful, he will be a one term presiedent too. Sabato says, Americans are beginning to see a repeat of Viet Nam without the jungle.

Ververs says democrats can't really call Bush a liar, but this flap has opened up windows, areas where they can attack him,

(Folks, this thang ain't going away. I think President Bush had a press conference today with Italian prime minister....was it carried live? I missed it, but I haven't heard one of the talk shows even mention it. )

Sabato says, Americans are beginning to see a repeat of Viet Nam without the jungle.

Then Sabato is an idiot who has a poor understanding of Vietnam and Iraq.

Thanks for documenting this, YaYa. I actually watched this and was appalled (as one should be when watching Matthews these days).

My opinion is Wilson got the ball rolling by outing himself as the emissary to Niger in his New York Times op-ed. He did not reveal all that he knew in that op-ed and sought to smear the WH. Now he wishes to claim that he and his wife are the victims of the WH. It is beyond belief, the gall of these people. He thought he could portray the WH as hyping up (or as they say in England, "sexing up") intelligence and say we went to war under false pretenses and nobody would contradict him?

Yes, Miss Marple, there is no doubt at all that this is the very same allegation that was being made of Tony Blair. And what fools these reporters were on Matthews' show to keep saying that the BBC/Kelly story is still hurting Blair. Even Mara Liasson over on Fox said today that since the BBC said Kelly was their source she couldn't see how Tony Blair's government could be held accountable for the sequence of events that followed.

Chris Matthews is insane about Dick Cheney and "Scooter" Libby and I didn't catch the name of the "reporter" who was his first guest, but the two of them agreed that our nation has never had a president so manipulated by a vice-president as we have now----that's what they said.

I tuned in as Andrea signed off so didn't hear her report, but I can guess she had her smirk in place.

And I agree--Ralph Reed was terrific.

Dick Morris on O'Reilley:

DNC ad running in Wisconsin calls Bush a liar. Democrats need to get out of the way and let Bush lose as many points as he's going to lose. says Dick Morris.......it's a stupid ad.

It's not the speech, it's the daily deaths that's hurting Bush. He's losing 2 points a week..it's a freefall.

O'Reilly is agreeing with Rollins....Bush should go before the American people and say we misjudged...

Dick Morris says theres a very good chance Hillary will get into 2004 race...with Bush fading.....Demo candidates so weak, if Bush drops below 50....Morris thinks Clinton will talk her into running in 2004.

Morris says, Hillary cannot afford another democrat to win in 2004. So if Bush numbers go lower, and there's a chance another democrat can win in 2004, someone like like Kerry or Lieberman, then Hillary will jump into the race. She will win the nomination in a heartbeat. And if she gets in the race, all the other democrat candidates will fold. Morris says there's a very good chance she will get in...Both Clintons are watching the Bush polls, thats what they do, he says.

"Wilson got the ball rolling by outing himself as the emissary to Niger in his New York Times op-ed."

What an excellent point! I sure didn't think of it, so I have no reason to hope anyone in the media will point it out either. Or the fact that Joseph Wilson was anti-war even before he went to Niger, little chance he would look too hard to prove himself wrong.

Thanks for putting this up. I saw a portion of this little exchange and almost lost my supper. This was such a hatchet job on Bush. YaYa, the Dems smell blood in the water and just won't let go. Now that they have actually seen Ws numbers start to go down, they will never let up.

Thanks for that report on Morris on O'Reilly. I watched it too. You got what he said down to a "T". You really ought to post it as a separate thread!
