This is an excerpt from the Purpose & Scope paragraph of the official report. It addresses your issues:

"...It is the result of an intensive, focused effort to determine those facts that could be determined in a relatively short period of time. This report does not answer all questions. In particular, in order to ensure the integrity of war crimes investigations, this report does not address in detail the conduct of Iraqi combatants during the battle, provides only a brief description of the death or wounding of each U.S. casualty, and does not address Iraqi treatment of U.S. Soldiers held captive. I've read your post and understand where you are coming from. I haven't read the after action report regarding the 507th, but I will add a little perspective...

I got an ARCom for getting a butterball out of country after he was arrested for smoking hash. I contained a serious diplomatic incident. Did I deserve it? Probably not, but sometimes we don't know the whole story or all of the ramifications.

No one was executed at that hospital that we KNOW of! And my ire is not with Lynch, but it is with the hype and BS that has been bestowed...her story makes no sense (amnesia, but remembers he boyfrined...makes the statement she "fought" with her other female soldier...BS...she was in a cvar wreck, KO's and locals took her to a hospital (and tried to return her!)

My disabilities are quite frankly none of your concern.

With some near 40 years of clinical medical work, I have yet to see a patient with fractures (spine included) spend in excess of three months hospitalized. I had fractures of a total of eight bones from a GSW...and I'm right handed...but 7 weeks later, the docs felt I was well enough to go back to a grunt line outfit...

So what you are saying then is that everyone should get a medal? And by the way, I never once said anything bad about her or blamed her for anything. That I keep getting accused of it just shows the lack of logic of opponenets.

Hmmm. I guess the soldiers found in a grave shot themselves in the head. Okay.

The amnesia part, as well as other things, were proven to not be true. The media said many things and no back up to their stories. It's not right or necessary to blame Pvt Lynch for untruths told.

btw...You're the one that brought up being a disabled veteran. I was inquiring as to your disability, as did someone else. I know you were shot, treated, and returned to your unit..but didn't know if your disability stemmed from that.

The fact that Jessica is wheelchair bound at this point, would make it a bit difficult to return to her unit. I don't think HumV's, much less the war situation in Iraq, are wheelchair accessible.
