What kind of man thinks it's okay for a woman to represent his country in combat?

What kind of country pays women the same pay as men who are taking greater risks. Men, the disposable sex.

And no, she was not in danger. She was in an Iraqi hospital, being cared for by Iraqi doctors. They were not torturing her or abusing her.

Are you saying car batteries next to hospital beds is normal?

Why is this young lady's name virtually the ONLY name that most Americans have heard regarding the POWs? I clearly remember that there were other POWs, weren't there? And where was their TV coverage? Are the guys who rescued her heroes? What are their names? Is this madness or what?

We know Scott Speicher's name from 1991, but we don't know hardly any of the other 200 and some people that were killed then. That's the way it goes, some end up in the spot light. Jessica did because she was rescued alone. You can't change nature. Use some common sense.

Don't worry, the feminazi lesbians and the jackboot-licking milk-baby slaves are working hard to make sure women face the same risks as men.

"That's the way it goes, some end up in the spot light. Jessica did because she was rescued alone."

So, we meet again... Believe me, I am truly happy for the girl that she survived her ordeal and would really like to think she fought like a badger before she was taken prisoner. But, you are kidding yourself and are in need of a serious reality check if you believe THAT was the reason PFC Lynch wound up in the spotlight. She wound up in the media spotlight because she's a young, cute, blonde-haired, little sweetie-pie with a button nose. Nothing more, nothing less.

NO doubt and that is not what I'm advocating though I get accused of it. But pay or bonuses shoud be bases on risk. Nothing worse than some guy putting his life on the front line, supporting a family on the same pay as some gal working the supply line.

Plenty more. She was rescued with severe injuries, so the rescue saved her life. Her fellow soldiers were all dead so she was the sole survivor from that building. She is the first rescued POW since WW2 if I remember correctly. If we find Scott Speicher alive, you'll see this play out again. Remember the big deal about Terry Anderson? Terry Anderson was splashed all over the news and he wasn't even a cute blond girl with a pug nose. Rescues are a big deal. Your insecurities with females making sacrifices for our country is really what's driving you cavemen.

Along with the women volunteers themselves. Don't believe in freedom of choice and self-responsibility?

The vast majority of non-combatant female soldiers do not want to be sent into the combat zone.

Then they shouldn't enlist.

There are plenty of jobs for them to do in the rear where they are safer. In the combat zone, they are nothing but a hindrance.

Why do you want to see them ordered into the combat zone unnecessarily and against their wishes. Don't you believe in freedom of choice?

What is it exactly about the capture, torture, and rape of our female soldiers that fills you with happiness and glee?

The bravery and responsibilty of our female soldiers is not at question. What is at question is the honor and integrity of the cowardly men who would send them into the combat zone unnecessarily in order to pander to a political agenda.

Military pay is based on rank and time in service, it has nothing to do with occupational specialty.

Combat pay is given to anyone in a combat zone no matter what their job (risk) is. Everyone serving in Iraq right now is getting it whether they're out patrolling streets or sitting at a desk in an air conditioned gov't office.

In the case of the 507th all members of that unit were at equal risk. They were at greater risk than need be because of a boneheaded captain who couldn't follow directions.

Not to mention the fact that Bill Clinton rescinded the rule that would have kept them out of the combat zone where they would have a substantially greater risk of capture.
