Kim Russell, 35, collapsed naked in front of Stephen Lambert in a hotel room

Sounds like they got to the "sexual relations" point of an adulterous relationship.

I'll bet one of those $1000 defib units could have saved her.  This is a sad one for all people involved.

Ah yes, that's it God struck her dead because she left or cheated on her husband... yea yea...Be real. If that sort of punishment were metered out for those infractions, there would be a lot fewer 40something men with plugs and gold chains around their necks chasing the 20somethings in the bar scenes.

Not all of God's strikes are metered out according to his justice. You think God has to be consistent on this? Or is it possible that the bulk of these strikes fell on Jesus Christ at Calvary instead of you & me?

You can poo-pa Wide Awake's comment, but since consistency is your bottom line, you need to poo-pa Peter's words to Ananias & Sapphira in Acts 5, too...there you could say, "If that sort of punishment was metered out for those infractions (withholding $ already pledged to the church), there would be a lot emptier pews in churches today."

if a married man goes to a strip club and receives a lap dance, is that adulterous? or uses a playboy magazine for uh ahem, his satisfaction is that adultery as well?
see i still think there's a diffference between lust in one's heart and mind and the physical act performed between 2 people (don't get me wrong....i'm not advocating this behavior). who among us....both men and women haven't had a little "lust" in our hearts for the opposite sex, even if we're married.

Hotel staff rushed to her assistance but she was dead before paramedics could arrive. The inquest heard she probably fell victim to "sudden death syndrome", which kills more than 3,000 adults under 40 every year.

3,000 adults die from this "illness" each year? Ummm....thank socialized medicine for that - they are too cheap and lazy to find the real reason for a death.

This almost sounds like a Clinton related death - death of someone with no explanation.....

"Can be caused by an abnormal heart rhythm. One of those is called "long Q-T" if I remember correctly, it's an electrical disturbance, can have multiple causes."

A long QT interval can intefere with the next P-Q-R-S-T sequence(the stages in a electrical heart rhytm. The Q-T interval is the length of time from the Q to T segment of a heart beat).

When the QT is prolonged and starts to stretch into the next rhythm sequence, it can create what is called a R on T beat which can send the heart into VTach, often declining into VFIB. The situation is very grave because unless you have immediate difibrillation, there is often death. To bad that the hotel didn't have an AED device. It might have saved her life!

(1) You miss the distinction between the word adultery and the word adulterous.

(2) There is no moral difference of kind, but only one of degree, between the "lust in one's heart" and the "physical act."

It was a joke.

I'm sure this is just an urban legend.

And I believe it rains on the just and the unjust.

Yes, that's what I recall. I've never seen an actual long Q-T, just in classes...as I understand it, it can be the cause of otherwise unexplained sudden death, as you say. I seem to recall that there are medications that can exacerbate it....
