I have not really seen a fat man on a rugby team, but then I have not seen every rugby team. I sure do remember Refrigerator Perry from the Chicago Bears!

Soccer to me is a nap looking for a place to happen. Same with baseball on T.V.For me, the NBA is a big yawn. What could be more boring than to watch a 7-foot tall player "jump" 6 inches off the ground and drop a ball through a round metal rim.

As for fearlessness they've got nothing on football players, nobody in rugby brings the kind of hurt the Warren Sapps and Ray Lewises of the NFL bring. If NFL players really want to display their fearlessness, let them try playing football without their helmet, body armor, shoulder pads, rib cage protectors, etc. The more protective equipment a player wears, the more fearless he tends to become because he knows that there's less chance he'll get hurt from throwing his body around on the field.

Before all that fancy equipment was invented football had fatalities. Those pads and helmets weren't invented for show, they're there because they're needed. Football still causes brutal injuries, cripplings happen every couple of years. And there's a good reason runningback's have an average career length of 7 years and you don't see many of them on the pro-am golf circuit after they retire because they can't walk a course. Dangerous game.

I have eleventh-row seats for the Man. Utd.-Juventus match July 31 at the Meadowlands. Wow! 4-1, and the top of the lineup. Looks like you saw the best of the best!!!

Guys, a 200 pound rugby player is considered a lightweight player these days Footie fans have a name for those guys. We call them "obstructions". :-)
You're absolutely right, of course, "you pays your money and you picks your sport".

Wish I could afford to upgrade my DirecTV to get FSW, GOLF, etc. FSW rules with an iron fist. I have it on my Dish Network, and all the Champions Tour games are on live. I can't stand the play-by-play guy but the rest is wonderful. They show EPL, SPL and Bundesliga games live during the regular season.
I'm a ManU supporter and wish I could see them live. However, since I live in flyover country they aren't coming anywhere near me.
And if you're looking for a real soccer fix, buy "Championship Manager". Easily the most entertaining computer game I've ever played.
