This guy may very well be the most inept bureaucrat in the history of the Executive Branch. He's Clinton all over again, Clinton even tried to make himself a pro-second amendment type when he was in Arkansas. Just a good-ole boy.

"too much baggage " Chairman of the convention? Bill Richardson hasn't had a good payoff (kickback) job in a while. There will be a good return on doling out millions of bucks to Boston bosses.

"First, Richardson was in the Klinton regime. This could be an indicator that Hitlery is running." Richardson was called on, as UN Ambassador ('97), to fix the Lewdwinski mess.
When that failed, he was moved to Energy ('98) to fix the security mess. Richardson was a buttboy and appointed to Energy for a specific purpose, take the heat.
We must not forget that it was Hazel O'Leary who publicly announced her intentions to make nuke secrets public. Her attitude led to the nuke lab downloads to Red China and zero security at the facilities. Federico Pena refused to (was incapable of) fixing O'Leary's treason. Richardson was perfectly willing to obfuscate and be the fall guy. Thus Sen. Byrd's condemnation
Richardson knows where all the skeletons are buried. Some Clinton cabinet members have short lifespans. Perhaps Richardson has an insurance policy.

I don't think most Hispanics will be exactly thrilled with a man who appears to be ashamed of his culture by taking on an American name, Richardson.
Dems, this will be a yawner and won't gain you one voter.

Um.....VINCENTE (sp?). At least that is a Hispanic name.
This is William/Bill Richardson.
I took Spanish in HS and we picked favorite hispanic names to use for ourselves....needless to say, Bill wasn't on it.

I know....when I read this article, I thought "Richardson is Hispanic?" I remember from Clinton days, and he didn't look like it.

Thanks California for giving us Jenny Grandstand.... California? She's from Canada!
I ain't a fan of her politics, but she is a stone cold babe. I betcha every time Hillary Clinton hears her name, she says to herself, "Thank God she wasn't born here."

They changed the rules. Before you had to be Spanish surnamed but now you only have to have some ancestors who spoke Spanish and you are a minority entitled to affirmative action and all the rest. Richardson grew up wealthy, his dad isn't hispanic, he had no disadvantages, no slave ancestors, but he can claim special treatment. Many minority voters think he's one of them and he will win their vote by large percents.

Born in Canada, grew up in California, moved to Hollywood, went to Hahvard, and then went to Michigan when she got married.

mixtures of Spanish and the Indians ("half breeds" in non-PC language) Mestizo is the proper name. And that's true, they simply want to get rid of them. If the saps up north want to go broke feeding them, that's cool with the Mexican landed oligarchy.
Richardson is from that same ruling class
And using the same tactics that the Mexican ruling class uses. Just think - Clinton made this guy the Energy Secretary - which means he had access to ALL the classified information on ALL of the nuclear weapons in the United States. Fun, huh? Wanna guess where a lot of that information got to?
To: FITZ
he had no disadvantages, no slave ancestors, but he can claim special treatment Not only did they not have slaves, you KNOW the Hispano Gueros WERE the slave owners. Like I said, "sympathy for the devil" - or devils, in this case.
Maybe we should have affirmative action for Rhett Butler. After all, Reconstruction was pretty hard on his "group".

Over Hillary's and Bill's dead bodies, quite a few of which have already been tagged and identified.

But I bet my ancestors were a hell of a lot more oppressed than Richardson's
God help us if that treasonous slimebag is ever President. He'll sell this nation to his bosses in red China. Fortunately, the rest of the country has been overtaken by illegal aliens like NM.

Evidently one of the requirements is that the Democrat Convention Chair must actually have commited Constitutional Treason.

Hasn't been overtaken by illegals I meant. But not the case in NM, given Richardson's voter base probably gets all kinds of goodies from him.

given Richardson's voter base probably gets all kinds of goodies from him. They certainly do ---and people should keep track of how often he meets with his fellow politicians from Mexico. He recently had a nice meeting with his President Fox in Mexico City.
