July 29, 2003 -- A NOTE FROM THE EDITORS: CAIR, a group discussed in this column, has campaigned to derail Daniel Pipes' nomination to the board of the U.S. Institute of Peace.
AMERICANS are increasingly negative about Islam and Muslims - or so found an important survey that the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press published last week.

Is it really that hard to understand why Americans are not on friendly terms with Islam?

There is a difference between an image problem and a truth problem. They are in serious denial.

I was thinking about this - what a PR nightmare islam now has. Does anyone think that all the recent violence has converted one new person to islam in the first world? Doubtful.
9/11, Palestinian homicide bombings, Bali, Russia (theater) - these muslims sure do like to kill people! And for their own damn selves, too - wanna bag me some virgins in heaven. Not to mention the CAIR whining. Religion of Peace my arse.

Who can forget the celebrating after 911... There are those who would want us to forget, and those of us who will never forget.

much more disinclined to vote for a Muslim for U.S. president Well, no shiite. Go ahead, and find out how much "separation of church and state" you get then.
