Thanks, Billie!
I took this picture of our daughter when we visited Galveston in March.
All these posts and pictures make me miss my sister in Texas :( but it is a treat to see so many wonderful pictures!

Since its almost lunchtime, I'll say Good Afternoon, Bro!
It will be cool in California ...... about 90 degrees. Can you believe it?

Thanks for posting those lyrics, Cal.

When my Grandmother died in 1943, we took the train to Texas. My Mother often told the story of my 4 year old sister singing 'Deep in the Heart of Texas' to the delight of the other passengers. I'm not sure if they got sick of hearing it or not. LOL

I took one look at that picture and could tell it was taken off I-10. We took that highway from Kerrville to San Antonio all the time.

Beautiful thread as always. The Hill Country is my favorite part of Texas too.

Hi, there Sugar Land - been there before, too. (It's ALL Houston, isn't it?) :)

Hey....you don't have to shoot the messenger, skinny legs. : (

LOL! But I love that picture - pretend it's a water pistol. Or a cap gun. :)

I was struck by the supposedly impossible coexistence of industry and nature.

The coast makes some nice pictures, but I feel like I'm abusing my camera when I get it out in the salty sea air. UGH!
