I will take issue with that statement. The Episcopal Church it seems is now on the verge of completely endorsing the gay lifestyle. The Catholic Church has condemned it. Yes, the Catholic Church has gay priests and bishops, but they do not represent the doctrine of the Catholic Church, they are apostate.

On that note, if your statement was truly in jest, I apologize for my reaction.

Please either this is the fastest coverup or the most incompetent investication EVER.

Not necessarily. Fox News reported on the last hourly news that this guy ended his association with the queer group he founded, and he did it long before they even had a web site. So he isn't directly accountable for the content of that web site today. Also, the accusation of improper touching was exaggerated. I know straight guys who make physical contact in the same way during conversation. I don't like it either, but it's not immoral or criminal.

All that said, he is manifestly unfit to be a bishop and should be voted down.

"Conservative Bible-believing Episcopalians should have left long ago (many have). "

Other bishops and priests that are worried about their retirement funding won't leave. People in the pews that think a Gay Bishop is wrong but it doesn't affect them won't leave but will continue to support the church financially.

Gays will flock in and feel "elevated" and "empowered" and "loved". More real Christians will leave the Episcopal Church and become Roman Catholics or seek other denominations.

The Episcopal Church now becomes a liturgical Unitarian Church based on "felling good". This is not new and has been going on for 30 years maybe longer.

Still no one speaks up -- no one confronts the evil!

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.

Don't try to use logic with the Catholic bashers. At least the Catholic church wasn't founded for the sole purpose of letting some fat ugly King ax yet another one of his wives...

That is pathetic. If they took a step in faith, God would provide.

People in the pews that think a Gay Bishop is wrong but it doesn't affect them won't leave but will continue to support the church financially.

That is pathetic too. Choosing to be "comfortable" but dry as a bone rather than a bit uncomfortable but forced to grow is simply awful.

Yet it it happens a lot, primarily with the very old.
