Bombing at Marriott in Jakarta Kills 13

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - A suspected suicide bombing at the Marriott Hotel created carnage in Jakarta's business district Tuesday, killing 13 people and wounding 149, setting cars afire and scattering glass shards for blocks in a bloody reminder of the continuing threat of terrorism in the world's most populous Muslim nation.

The blast came two days before a verdict in the trial of a key suspect in the Bali nightclub bombings last Oct. 12 that killed 202 people, many of them foreigners. A Dutch banker was among the dead Tuesday, and at least 10 foreigners, including two Americans, were reported injured.

The attack occurred on the first day of testimony in another bombing case by the alleged leader of Jemaah Islamiyah, which has been blamed for the Bali bombings. Authorities have linked the group to al-Qaida and say it hopes to create an Islamic state across Southeast Asia.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the Marriott bombing.

Read the defining documents of that evil religion, my friend. The Koran is the mildest of the three (the others being the Sharia and the Hadith). The Koran is filled with calls for conversion by the sword, oppression, misogyny, slavery and murder. Read it and you will see that the "Peaceful" Muslims are just weak and careless muslims who do not follow the religion to the letter like the terrorists do. It IS a religion of terror, oppression, murder, misogyny and forced conversion.

,,, an associate of mine got home last Saturday from Jakarta. He went there on July 15. On his way in, the McDonalds at the airport appeared to be under renovation but it was actually the result of a bomb blast. Today he's feeling quite good about his duration of visit.

To indicate that, perhaps, the present terror to humanity is centered with the newly discovered Arabian "Sauds"...as well as to the current time frame... is way off the mark.

Islam is clearly a political system first and foremost. It sustains it's power through intimidation, terror, and fostering the ignorance of the masses it infects.

The relgious aspect of Islam is just a mask...the mechanism to keep the bulk of it's followers in bewildered ignorance thus enabling these misguided people to become willing killers....all for the few clerics who are their puppeteers.

This political scourge, passing itself off as a religion, has been ongoing for thirteen centuries, is dangerous and growing, and has magnified the suffering of humanity while giving little or nothing to science, the arts, or the betterment of life for humanity in return.

Yes I have seen BIG changes in the past six years but in particular the past two. The work the Saudi's have been doing is gaining collective mass.

The problem I have with saying it is all Islam is that it will become all of Islam. Most people that have not traveled probably don't realize what that means globally.

There are much wiser strategies to handle this and the situation has to be treated with kit gloves.

"Wahhabism, as this creed got to be known, like most other extremist movements before it, believed that traditional Islamic virtues and beliefs have been corrupted and preached a return to the ostensibly pure Islam of the time of the Prophet and his companions. Indeed, well into the 1920s the history of the House of Saud is replete with violent campaigns to force other Muslims to submit politically and theologically, violating yet another fundamental Quranic principle that prohibits the use of compulsion in religion".

RE YOUR # 24...YES, all well and good...But..

The fact remains that Islam is a corrupt political system.....first, and a "relgion" second.

Islam has a well documented and continuous history of fostering mayhem and terror where it has control of a large segment of the population.

World Islam has no true central authority. It has regional "relgious" leaders who project and instill their brand of "theology" into the heads of the well maintained ignorant masses...all in exchange for power.

It is not just the house of Saud who practice government sponsored torture and dismemberment of people...cutting off heads, arms, and legs..., stoning people to death, kidnapping innocents etc and etc.

Islam is as much a religion as is communism as it seeks to control every aspect of the daily life of people (for the benefit of the "select" few)...in exchange for promises of some paradise for the hell endured in this world.
