I am in a bad mood today and nothing would make me feel better than a picture of President Bush on the USS Abraham Lincoln back in May. Between the gay bishop and the democrats in general, I need a good dose of patriotism!!!! Anyone got one to post?

Has anyone got the image of him hauling away brush at the Crawford Ranch?
That one's a classic.

once a sailor, always a sailor ... i retired last year after 22 years. i loved it, and would've traded a (fill in the blank!) to be in this scene. i know a sailor who is currently working at camp david, and freepers, you're gonna love this - the prez is EXACTLY the great guy we all knew he is! relaxed, focused, loves and respects the troops - and is exactly the right guy for the times. this from a sailor who works directly for the prez.
we chose wisely ...

Did Bush actually land the plane on the carrier or was he only co-pilot or passenger? No he didn't fly the aircraft during the trap/landing. He did take the controls during the flight out, including executing a "lead change" manuever, which is pretty simple for an experienced pilot, but tricky for a badly out of practice one who'd never flown that type of aircraft before. I'm sure the pilot talked him through the manuever, but he did it.

Roger that. I worked as a consultant in the West Texas/New Mexico area for 20 years. I asked one of my clients from Midland if should vote for W in the Repub. primary, and why I should do so. The client said that he was just like "us", meaning him and I; that is, you conclude a deal with Bush over the phone, send him your work, and he would send you your money. No contract, but all verbal or on a handshake. I've had a few disagreements with our Pres., but he is honest, and that's why 'Rat charges to the contrary just don't stick.
Ronald Reagan said one time (to paraphrase) that if we agree 75% of the time it is plenty good enough.
Once we get W straightened out on education, guns, and federal mandates we'll be doing just fine.
He is one hell of a Commander In Chief!!!!
