As some of you know, I've launched ArnoldGovernor.net to highlight the merits of Arnold Schwarzenegger's candidacy for Governor of California in October's recall election. The site is active from my geography but I'm not sure if it takes some time for the DNS tables to be updated and if people in other parts of the country need to wait longer for the table replication to take place. If you'd click the link to ArnoldGovernor.net and reply here if it worked or not, it would be much appreciated. Please also list your city and state so I can get a sense if its universally accessible. No, this is not a cheap trick to get you to visit the site- I would just ask you to visit the site otherwise. Thanks again. BTW, I know we'll have honest differences of opinion on whose candidacy is best...but on this technical matter, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks.
*BTW, If you want to help out on this site: getting the word, pls let me know too. My profile has my e-mail address. Thanks.

Thanks! I take it you're from Durango, CO. Great, means it's working in more places than just my area. I'll be updating the site by Saturday (with some solid new content), and I'll probably officially launch it sometime shortly.
To: W04Man
Thanks W04 Man. From your profile, I'm guessing you're from VA? If so, looks like the site may be good to go and reachable coast-to-coast. I'm going full bore with this site because days matter in this 8 week election that cumulates on Oct 7. I'll sleep later! BTW, you've got a nice site yourself. I'd like to chat with you sometime about it.
To: jagrmeister
It worked for me here in Southern Md.

Certainly, in the 64,000 or so people that have joined the race, we can one find one with real conservative credentials? Or is Arnold truly the best California can do?

I'm on the East Coast - cable connection.....it loaded immediately.......thanks - good site

Quick load in South Florida.
When asked on Fox and Friends this morning if he wanted Bush's help, Arnold said that Bush was busy with other things and added that California didn't need ex-presidents or senators from other states there either. :)

"Certainly, in the 64,000 or so people that have joined the race, we can one find one with real conservative credentials? Or is Arnold truly the best California can do?"It never ceases to amaze me how some "So called" Republicans can even consider voting for someone like AR. And New York Republicans wonder how they got into the mess they are in. The worst part about all of this is that most of the folks voting for AR are not voting because of his credentials but for his looks and star appeal.
Starting to realize more and more each day that the Republican Party at, least how I used to know it, doesn't exist any more. Maybe we should just lump the Dims and The Republican party together and call it RepsOfTheDim.

Why? Because he has a R beside his name? Is that what the running of our nation has come to? Voting R or D, no matter what the stance? From what I've seen of his record here on FR and elsewhere, he's not what I would call conservative by any means

He's a fiscal moderate-to-conservative, socially lib.As I said, not what I would call conservative by any means, moderate liberal maybe. But maybe that's why he's running as Republican instead of Democrat

I have to believe that if he gets into office, and is constantly blasted by the lib media, hollywood, and other libs, he'll start shifting rightward, partly in spite, partly cause he has nothing to lose.
Use the Dems playbook- run as a centrist/moderate, then shift right once in power. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
To: PatrioticAmerican
I have been listening to Rush regarding "Arnold".
To hear Arnold was ashamed to be a Republican during the impeachment of Clinton has just taken away my vote.
I fly the State of Texas Flag in honor to "W" but California is where I am from. MCClintock will now get my vote.

Thanks, but even though the recall vote is certified, what would happen if he resigns anytime before October? Replaced by Lt. Gov up until the recall election. If the recall is voted down, the Lt Gov stays in that position.

So, the recall can't be stopped either way. If he resigns, the recall would be on the Lt. Gov, thereby taking away any incentive for Davis to resign?
Thanks for the clarification, this is great.

Use the Dems playbook- run as a centrist/moderate, then shift right once in power. At least that's what I'm hoping for.Whatever, personally I'm tired of these playbooks, be they from Nixon, Johnson or whoever. A politician stands on a stump and asks for my vote I expect him to keep at least 75% of his promises (in a perfect world and what the Founders envisioned it would closer to 100% but hey what can you do?). I have voted straight R ticket every voting year since I was able to vote. And instead of getting better, this nation continues to move to the left.
I quit hoping for what the politician promises because undoubtedly it will be a boldfaced lie more often than not

"Replaced by Lt. Gov up until the recall election"That's something that's confusing me: since the LT Governor threw his name onto the ballot, how's he gonna run the state government while campaigning?

Arnold is worse than a liberal - are you crazy this guy will give all republicans a bad name. MESSAGE TO PEOPLE LIVING IN CA - ELECT BILL SIMON - HE STATED THAT HE WOULD HALT ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION - THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE OTHERWISE YOU DESERVE TO CONTINUE ON YOUR ROAD TO HELL.
