After reading this, I have to sing praise for the church we attended today. We have been looking for a church home and before we did, hubby and I discussed about how it would be nice to know ahead of time people's views on the issues of the day in the church, since that will likely give you a good idea of just how "Bible-believing" they are. God answered us today when one of the first orders of the day was to discuss, without specific names, the unbiblical event that took place this week in a major Christian congregation. Every person in the congregation nodded their heads in agreement. It was such a joy to find a pastor and church who were not afraid to voice their displeasure and comment on current events. It was nice to walk in a church and know exactly which way they lean--in the directio of the Holy Bible:-)

ps After reading what I wrote, thought I should add that we based our decision on more than that. We know a number of folks who attend the church through our homeschool support group so we knew a lot about it and made a lot of our decision before we attended about whether it was Biblically sound. Just thought I'd throw that in in case I get the comment about how we know nothing about this church, blah, blah;-) and what a silly way to choose a church. This was just the crowning jewel event after checking them out and knowing other members.
