So Cal Freepers:  AFTER BBQ REPORT

Sunday, August 11 the So. Cal freepers (and special out of town visitors) had a BBQ/Pool Party in honor of Jim Robinson. Jim was in the LA area to attend the NFRA convention and present the Reagan Award to this years winner. Bob J and I attended the luncheon at the Reagan Library and Bob presented this year's winner with the award, the Young Americas Foundation. Saundra Duffy was also there with her husband (his FR name escapes me).


Saturday we prepared for the party.


On Sunday, Freepers started arriving here ready for some sun, fun, Gray Davis bashing, and swimming.  A sun-burned DoughtyOne, managed the grill and helped feed around 60 people. I will let the attendees come in and give their reports but I had a great time!  Thanks to everyone who brought food, wine, beer, chips, (we have more food here than when we started!)

The crew consisted of Robin (hottie in white bikini), Frank (the Italian), Steve, David (birthday boy), Derrick, Nancy (other hottie in floral bikini), Genevieve (hottie in brown skirt and halter top) and nephews, and Mary. I think I passed on RSVPs for 4 of us. Oh well, that's southern California for you.

It is so cool seeing FR/FRN doing that National hobnobbing type stuff with NFRA and the attendees there. It was such an honor for Jim and all of Freeperdom for him to receive the NFRA's Ronald Reagan Freedom award two years ago and now for him to be there to hand it off is even better. It shows our National stature is growing and that Freepers are working behind the scenes across the country to get things done.
