Prayer Request for A Tiny Baby (Update in post #12850)
Myself | 8-11-03 | Brad's Gramma

Posted on 08/11/2003 12:57:30 PM PDT by Brad’s Gramma

If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. He’s the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.

Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2” long.

He’s a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that he’s starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.

I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious…and this is her reply…” A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.”

On a personal note, I’ve read the emails daily from my friend. I’ve known her for years, I’ve heard her talking about her family for years…but I’ve got to tell you that I’m SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.

Father God, we lift up Logan’s little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until he’s grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Fellow Freepers…….I bring you Logan!!!

TC, I am so sorry you are suffering so. I am sending up prayers for SWIFT relief and FAST healing to 100%!!!

I certainly know a lot of people who have had hip replacements and ended up better than before. Whatever you and your docs decide, let's just get you out of this pain and back to doing all the things you love to do.

BG, Logan is delicious!

Even a big ol' guy like you needs a prayer or two -- and I'm happy to join the folks on this thread, praying that your hip will be healed.

Oliver is now two. He is a beautiful and sweet little boy. He is still very small for his age, and now we have delayed speech, but he has been all checked out and is making some progress. He only says about 3 or 4 words.

I will try to post a picture of him.

Happy Easter Brad's Gramma and thank you for this amazing thread!

This little boy is a miracle from God!

I found this thread looking for recent posts from TexasCowboy, and wouldn't you just know this would be the place I would find him?

I've gone back to the beginning of the thread and am so uplifted by the posts.

Bless you for sharing this wonderful story, and bless you TC for leading me to it!

Black mambas? LOL. TC, that just proves you're going to be just fine. It's the ornery cusses in this world who live to be 100.

Sorry, I haven't been on this thread since your injury was announced. Prayers for you and hopes for the best orthopods to take care of you. Pain sux! And it radiates. If your problem is in the muscular-nervous system, how could a hip replacement help? Your hip joint is hurting now, but could it be pain radiating there from the nearby source? Might be things to discuss with the pros at TX Med Ctr.

I hope you have some chocolate Easter eggs to make you happy today!

God bless,
Veto! of the Northwest Ornery Ladies' Brigade

My 8 year old daughter was born at 27 weeks and weighed 3 pounds. We were lucky that she was going to be a big baby at full term which allowed her to reach 3 pounds so early. It's amazing how far the technology has come over the years.I hope this baby is able to lead a normal and healthy life the same type of life my daughter is blessed with.
