"Saddam hunt..."
I know better, but it crosses my mind now and again to turn that entire Sunni Triangle into a large parking lot..

Someone had anti-aircraft set up in that village....this wasn't some Saddam flunky we were hunting. No, the article does not say that. It says "The Army had been warned that its target had men on lookout and may have had anti-aircraft guns set up in the village, Young said."
It sounds to me like there were no AA guns and someone fed the Americans a pack of lies to get the Americans to attack this village. I hope that someone doesn't have an opportunity to keep doing that. It puts our guys at risk needlessly.

We didn't attack the village it was a raid looking for someone. Sometimes you get info that is old....doesn't mean it was no good.

That would look cool from Space, a giant glass triangle in the middle of Iraq!

Fox just showed a clip from the raid......seems the houses were mud huts in the village. This was out in the sticks.
Descriptions are appreciated for the cubically challenged. Thanks!

"If I was Saddam Hussein, I would be sleeping with one eye open and probably be a nervous wreck by now"... Not if he's in Saudi Arabia.

. "I have six sons, I have six guns and I have an RPG (rocket-propelled grenade). I can make trouble any time." Sounds a little like a protection racket.

"Not if he's in Saudi Arabia." (Saddam)
I don't think so, I still think he is in Sunni area, moving like a jack rabbit.

The big enchilada himself? I don't think so, because on FNC today they were reporting the U/I big wig was suspected of organizing guerrilla attacks. I think that reasonably (though not completely) rules out Saddam.
