All that does is prove you're a hypocrite for not wanting to criminalize alcohol and cigarettes.

Of course you are also for the legalization of crack? Or are YOU the hypocrite?

So stop arresting him..............

You would say the same if he was a dope dealer. A heroin pusher. Brewing methedrine in his garage. You want all these posions made legal and legal pot is your way of getting your foot in the door.

...legalizing drugs will reduce the Federal Budget by billions...

You have the key right there. That simple statement creates fear and panic among a large number of our government employees. Having a solution to the so called drug problem would cause many people to find another line of work. Government officials wouldn't have justification for ignoring the bill of rights. Anything that would really solve the "drug problem" would cause havoc in our country.

If any thing is responsible for Jack Osborne trying hard drugs it is first and foremost the sins of the father. But, fame is to blame in part. Even the show producers should take some blame, since they had to be around facilitating through the blind eye peering luridly from behind a camera as he cohorts with the notoriously heroine chic promoters of the hard core. It is all about ratings and sound bites.

Genesis 1:29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

Poison Ivy is an "herb." Is the Bible telling us that we should eat it?

Scam? I bet you think all it is for is a bunch of dirty hippies who want to smoke up. The fact is, there are people out there who have pain that can be relieved by marijuana. To deny them treatment is simply not ethical, IMHO.

post 54 about Jack Osborne should have been addressed to you as well.

Regarding the Article you posted above on Schizophrenia:

Merriam Webster defines Schizophrenia: "contradictory or antagonistic qualities or attitudes."

If you think a sane society is one that is divided up the middle on just about every issue by the voices of corporate media while the side on top is mostly the one perilously oppressing the other in neglect of its founding constitution then schizophrenia must be included in your definition of sanity. We are a nation of contradiction and our system is fundamentally antagonistic in form as well as practice.

The article you posted isn't even news. It is exceedingly deceptive with respect to a causal relationship and barely redeems itself by noting that regarding schizophrenia, "A lot of people have it who didn't smoke, and a lot smoke but don't get it."

Psyches removed God from the study of the mind by taking books of demonology and systematically renaming known ills in new terms for the modern godless age. The 'schizophrenic' or rather the demon possessed are always seeking an escape from their torment. Logically they will be much more likely to seek the pacification of herb than not. This does not in any way logically work in reverse. Herb users are not necessarily 'schizophrenic' nor demon possessed. I can not say as much for practicers of the psych professions. I can not say as much for those that choose the path of warrior, either. Finally, it is obvious to those familiar with the WOD that the choice of experimental groups is enough to nullify the results as non-scientific propaganda.

Exceptions do not make the rule. Pot is not a good thing.

There is no proof for the gateway theory. Causation does not equal correlation.

Lie. That is the secondary definition. Here is the primary one:

Main Entry: herb
Pronunciation: '&rb, US also and British usually 'h&rb
Function: noun
Usage: often attributive
Etymology: Middle English herbe, from Old French, from Latin herba
Date: 14th century

1 : a seed-producing annual, biennial, or perennial that does not develop persistent woody tissue but dies down at the end of a growing season.

Poison ivy is an herb, and it was just one convenient example of many. Take your goofy interpretations elsewhere. The Bible most definitely does not tell use to smoke pot.

I'm sure that inhaling smoke isn't exactly healthy for you. But for someone like myself, who smokes up maybe once a month at most, how harmful is that?

I wouldn't worry about it. No documented cases of cancer from marijuana. Ever.

My response was very relevant. Here it is: Never bother citing simple observation and plain common sense to people who have addled their minds with durgs I guess.

Out of consideration, I left the typo in so you would have something to respond to. Once we remove the word "alcohol" from the conversation potheads have no creative points to make. Personally, I am not a big fan of alcohol, but since a large majority of the population wants it legal I dan't see much point in crusading against it. Since a majority of the population wants pot illegal, I recognize the futility of trying to legalize it.

On the contrary, the point is, there is no value in continuing the WOD when success is impossible. We are throwing away money. Economics 101 - Suppy and Demand. Study it. The Prohibition makes a great case study.

If they really wanted to end the drug problem, they would legalize and regulate. Any idiot knows that would kill the supply side and run the dealers out of business.

How many millionaire bootleggers do you know?

Seriously, you're not making any sense. Demand drives supply. Demand would not increase (as it has been proven in the Netherlands) when drugs are made legal. The market would be flooded with drugs, which would cause the prices to drop, causing the dealers to go out of business. It's simple really. The government doesn't want the WOD to end, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

Your argument that access leads to drug use just can't be proven. In fact, the opposite has been proven in Europe already.

I'll give you some links tonight if I remember. You can just as easily do a Google search as I can. But you must also provide evidence that shows demand increases when supply increases as it relates to drugs.
